Whether you are already working in a Dubai clinic or ready to bring your skills to one of the world’s most dynamic cities, The Ark Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse / Veterinary Technician who takes pride in high surgical, anaesthetic and patient-care standards.

This is not a role where you only hand over instruments and clean up. You will be a core part of the clinical team: monitoring anaesthesia, running theatre, caring for hospitalised patients, and working side by side with our veterinarians every day.

The Role

As a Veterinary Nurse, you will support every stage of the patient journey, from consultation to full recovery. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting veterinarians in consultations, diagnostics and surgical procedures
• Preparing theatre, instruments and patients for surgery
• Monitoring anaesthesia and recovery, and reporting changes promptly
• Caring for hospitalised and post-operative patients, including fluids and medications as prescribed
• Collecting samples and running in-house laboratory tests
• Keeping accurate medical records and treatment sheets
• Upholding high standards of hygiene, sterilisation and infection control
• Managing clinical supplies and stock
• Communicating clearly and professionally with pet owners about care instructions

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Veterinary degree (DVM / BVSc) or equivalent
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on small animal clinical experience
• Proven surgical assistance and anaesthesia monitoring skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Calm, organised and reliable in a fast-paced clinic
• Professional presentation and a genuine team player

Highly regarded:

• Previous UAE clinic experience
• IV catheter placement, fluid therapy and blood sampling
• Experience with digital X-ray and in-house lab analysers
• Emergency or hospitalisation (ICU) experience
• Familiarity with practice-management software (e.g. ezyVet)
