Te Puna Ora o Mataatua is the leading regional Māori health and wellbeing provider in the country. Established in 1991, Te Puna Ora o Mataatua delivers an integrated range of community health, general medical, homebased, and social services within the Mataatua rohe, mai Ngā Kuri a Whārei ki Tihirau.

As our Whānau Ora & Social Services Manager, you’ll lead a large portfolio of services, contracts and kaimahi. You’ll support your team to deliver quality care for whānau, build strong relationships with funders and community partners, and make sure we meet our contractual, reporting and compliance requirements.

Our service is growing, and we want someone who will bring ideas as well as experience. You’ll have room to look at how we work, improve our services and help shape what comes next.

Ngā pūkenga me whai | Your skills and experience

We’re looking for an experienced leader who has:

• Current social worker registration
• Experience managing a substantial portfolio of social service contracts, ideally in a larger or complex service environment
• The ability to lead a large team and support kaimahi to do their best mahi
• Strong relationships with funders, external agencies and community partners
• A sound understanding of contract performance, reporting, compliance and audits
• A commitment to kaupapa Māori and working in alignment with Te Poutokomanawa
