Job Description Job Title: Learning Content Designer (also referenced as Technical Course Developer 3) Ways of Working: Set schedule 3 days a week (Hybrid) Locations: Sunnyvale, CA and Norcross, GA; Site address for Sunnyvale: 1020 Kifer Rd, Bldg 108 Travel: Approximately 10% Compensation (W2): Max Pay Rate $90/hr (CA) and $75/hr (GA) Start/End: 10/20/2025 to 10/19/2026 Primary Function: The Learning Content Designer develops engaging learning materials that meet defined learning objectives, leverage appropriate modalities and methods, and follow established processes and adult learning principles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Analyze role-specific learner needs and tasks to craft measurable learning objectives. - Identify commonalities in learning needs across digital audiences and adapt content appropriately. - Collaborate within the team and with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new or update existing learning content for diverse audiences, including highly technical learners (engineers), support helpdesk professionals, digital sales, sales engineers, and implementation teams. - Collaborate with multimedia teams to create or modify media assets used in learning materials. - Proactively manage the content development process, including milestones, risks, review cycles, feedback implementation, and quality assurance. - Manage and monitor deliverables throughout implementation, translation, and launch, providing regular status updates to project teams. - Evaluate learning content using qualitative and quantitative methods to drive design/development improvements and workflow efficiencies. Required Skills and Experience: - 3–7 years of relevant professional experience. - Ability to be certified on applicable digital content. - Experience designing and developing eLearning, instructor-led training, and assessments; ability to deliver training in professional/classroom settings as needed. - Demonstrated application of adult learning theory, analysis tools and processes, evaluation tools and models, assessment best practices, and learning objective construction. - Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; strong organizational skills; excellent attention to detail. - Proven experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to create robust content solutions. - Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines; adapt to project changes; present clear solutions that drive alignment and cross-functional buy-in. - Familiarity with instructional design processes, tools, and templates. - Must provide work samples and/or portfolio. Education and Training: - Minimum bachelor’s degree required (Instructional Design, Education, or Science/Engineering preferred). - Preferred: Master’s degree in Curriculum Development or Instructional Design/Technology. Software Proficiency: - Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia. - Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). - Smartsheet or equivalent project management tool. Preferred Qualifications: - 1–2 years of experience in a biotech or medical device organization. - Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency. - Familiarity with SFDC (Salesforce), remote troubleshooting tools, user management tools, and networking concepts.
