2629 Senior Procurement Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Procurement Specialist to take ownership and delivery of the procurement activities for our national healthcare client.
Reporting to the AVP, Finance, the Senior Procurement Specialist is a standalone role supporting the delivery of procurement activities across a national, multi-site (150+) network.
This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating competitive procurement processes, supporting strategic sourcing and contract negotiations, managing procurement operations, and strengthening supplier and contract governance.
You will work closely with Finance, Clinical Operations, Real Estate & Facilities, IT, Legal, and other business stakeholders, to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and value-driven procurement outcomes across clinical supplies, equipment, services, and other indirect spend categories.
You will bring strong analytical (Excel), organizational, and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the ability to independently manage day-to-day procurement activities while supporting leadership on complex, sensitive, or high-value initiatives.
NOTE: This is a hybrid role onsite 1-2 days/week.

Strategic Sourcing and Competitive Procurement
- Coordinate end-to-end competitive procurement processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Support the development of scopes, specifications, evaluation criteria, bid documentation, and procurement timelines.
- Facilitate bid administration, vendor communications, evaluation processes, and documentation of recommendations.
Contract Management and Commercial Support
- Support commercial negotiations by preparing pricing analysis, benchmarks, negotiation materials, and recommendations.
- Coordinate contract development and review activities with Legal, procurement leadership, and suppliers.
Procurement Operations and Systems
- Manage day-to-day procurement requests and monitor the procurement support queue, ensuring requests are prioritized, tracked, and addressed within established service expectations.
- Execute purchase-to-pay activities, including requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate vendor, sourcing, purchasing, and contract records within applicable ERP and procurement systems.
Spend Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze spend data to identify savings opportunities, purchasing trends, supplier concentration, contract leakage, and potential risks.
- Prepare financial analyses and decision-support materials for sourcing, renewal, and supplier-selection decisions.
Stakeholder Support and Continuous Improvement
- Act as procurement resource for internal stakeholders, providing guidance on procurement processes, sourcing approaches, pricing, contracting, and policy requirements.
Experience/Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, category management.
- End-to-end procurement lifecycle, including strategic sourcing, RFP processes, contract negotiation, and vendor governance, contract negotiations.
- Managing national, multi-site (50+) procurement operations - MUST HAVE
- SCMP, CSCMP, CPSM, or another recognized procurement or supply-chain designation, completed or in progress.
- Experience within healthcare, professional services, clinical supplies, IT, geographically distributed, multi-site organization.
- Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience evaluating pricing, bids, savings opportunities, and total cost of ownership.
- Advanced Excel – critical skill
- Experience using NetSuite, ServiceNow, Power BI
- Experienced with procurement governance, supplier management, contract administration, risk mitigation, and internal controls.
