Procurement Specialist

Under the supervision of the Supply Manager, the incumbent is responsible for independently managing a portfolio of suppliers and components. The role ensures continuity of supply, optimizes inventory parameters, and contributes to improving supplier performance. The incumbent works closely with internal teams to support the organization’s operational, financial, and strategic objectives.

As a Procurement Specialist, you must be able to:

• Independently manage a portfolio of suppliers and components.
• Analyze supply requirements and execute the necessary actions based on the MRP.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial terms with suppliers.
• Analyze and optimize supply parameters in the ERP system (MOQ, safety stock, reorder point, lead times).
• Maintain data integrity in SAP.
• Monitor supplier performance using indicators and scorecards.
• Participate in resolving supply, quality, and delivery issues.
• Develop action plans to reduce supply risks.
• Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and total cost of ownership (TCO) improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, logistics, finance, and sourcing teams on operational issues.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team projects.
• Perform any other related tasks.

What makes you an asset to our team

• Bachelor in Administration or equivalent
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the SAP ERP system (an asset).
• Knowledge of electronic components and machining (an asset).
• Excellent ability to manage time and priorities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of inventory control and manufacturing operations.
• Detail-oriented and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Bilingualism.
