2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer – French & English

We are currently looking for a 2nd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join an enterprise IT environment and play a key role in keeping critical systems stable, secure, and performing at their best.

You’ll work across Linux, Windows, and AIX environments, solving complex technical issues, supporting daily operations, and contributing to continuous improvements. If you enjoy troubleshooting, automation, and working with enterprise-scale infrastructure, this could be a great fit for you.

Project information:

• Location: Katowice (Hybrid work model: 2 days from the office, 3 days remotly)
• Type of employment: standard employment contract
• Project languages: French and English

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd-line technical support for enterprise infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, changes, problems, and patching activities.
• Perform scheduled maintenance as well as ad hoc technical interventions.
• Monitor system health, analyze logs, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure service availability.
• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, both virtual and physical.
• Support Linux and AIX systems and troubleshoot system, filesystem, service, and VM-related issues.
• Manage patching activities, including WSUS.
• Work with enterprise scheduling platforms such as Control-M or IBM Workload Scheduler.
• Contribute to automation and continuous improvement of infrastructure and operational processes.
• Collaborate closely with other IT and technical teams to maintain high service quality.

Requirements:

• Fluent French – written and spoken.
• Good command of English for working in an international IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and AIX.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, VMware, and physical servers.
• Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M or IBM Workload Scheduler.
• Practical knowledge of system maintenance, patching, and WSUS.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including log analysis, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Solid understanding of LVM, filesystems, disk management, and NAS.
• Experience troubleshooting system, filesystem, service, VM, and performance-related issues.
