Job Title 3D Design Engineer Location : Stuttgart, Germany Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and creative 3D Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing intricate 3D models that meet our clients' specifications and industry standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation. Responsibilities Carrying out and coordinating the development of components/modules with a variety of functions and links, including the coordination of associated tests Developing specialised concepts for components/modules and ensuring feasibility Designing/ having designed and assessing design solutions and coordinating with internal/external development partners (for a defined installation space in the function of DMU processor responsible for the installation space) Defining, coordinating and, if necessary, modifying the technical requirements for components/modules (e.g. with regard to function, installation, etc.) Checking the progress of development Coordinating the development of new components/modules with a variety of functions and links within a defined development phase (e.g. from the start of a research object to handover to pre-development, from the specification sheet to production release, etc.). (Especially towards external DMU employees; allocating task packages and checking work results) Coordinating priorities; defining interfaces (all development-relevant topics and the procedure with the customer, implementation of customer requirements in coordination with internal and external interfaces/development partners/suppliers; participation in customer-specific meetings and workshops) Checking and detailing schedules and cost plans Ensuring that components/modules are provided on time, in line with function and installation requirements and at low cost as part of the development process Ensuring compliance with specified development targets; initiating corrective measures if necessary Coordinating/monitoring tests, analysing test results and coordinating/checking design implementations Carrying out development work (e.g. designing components/modules with a large number of functions and links) taking into account specifications (e.g. functional, weight and installation aspects, economic aspects, in particular calculations for dimensioning the parts and assemblies to be designed using specified formulas and tables (e.g. strength, stiffness, rigidity, load-bearing capacity). e.g. strength, rigidity, cross-sections, centres of gravity, masses, etc. as well as construction space-specific 3D design in accordance with the customer's current guidelines and internal specifications; storage and saving of data models in accordance with customer specifications; collaboration and support in the further processing of 3D data in 2D design). Checking drawings and data records; ensuring the preparation of documentation (Ensuring transparent and complete documentation of requirements, deadlines and results to guarantee correct processing and root cause analysis in the event of complaints, e.g. DMU test protocols, specifications, brief presentations, logging of backdating of change notifications) Requirements University/university of applied sciences degree and 2 to 3 years of professional experience OR knowledge and skills acquired in another way Vehicle and wiring harness development processes, customer-specific development tools (CAD and PDM systems), knowledge of wiring harness production Good knowledge of English Holistic/ process-orientated thinking, problem solving, goal orientation Communication skills, teamwork/ co-operation Customer orientation (internal/ external) Intercultural competence How to Apply If you are passionate about 3D design and eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and excellence, we would love to hear from you.
