3D Lighting Designer & Product Development Specialist

A-WE Lighting is a growing architectural and decorative lighting company serving the US and Canadian markets. We specialize in unique lighting solutions, custom designs, and products that combine creativity, functionality, and quality.

We’re looking for a talented 3D Lighting Designer & Product Development Specialist to join our team and help us develop new lighting collections, create realistic visualizations, and turn creative ideas into manufacturable products.

Product Design & Development

• Develop original lighting fixture concepts and new product collections.
• Redesign and improve existing lighting fixtures.
• Create detailed 3D models of decorative, architectural, acoustic, and outdoor lighting products.
• Develop practical construction solutions, considering materials, assembly, and manufacturing limitations.
• Work with our team and manufacturing partners to refine designs for production.

3D Modeling & Visualization

• Create high-quality, photorealistic product renders for our website, catalogs, and marketing materials.
• Develop realistic interior and exterior architectural visualizations featuring our lighting fixtures.
• Accurately represent fixture dimensions, materials, finishes, and lighting effects.
• Create multiple product configurations, finishes, and installation options.
• Prepare 3D models suitable for further engineering and production development.

Technical Drawings

• Prepare accurate 2D technical drawings with dimensions and construction details.
• Develop drawings for custom lighting projects.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from our engineering and production teams.

• Proven experience in 3D modeling, product design, and photorealistic rendering.
• Strong proficiency in professional 3D modeling and CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar).
• Experience with rendering software such as Corona Renderer, V-Ray, KeyShot, or similar.
• Ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and product construction.
• Strong attention to detail, proportions, and realistic material representation.
• Creative thinking and the ability to develop original product designs.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

• Previous experience designing lighting fixtures or other manufactured products.
• Knowledge of LED lighting, electrical components, and fixture construction.
• Experience with metal, glass, acrylic, wood, and PET acoustic felt.
• Familiarity with architectural lighting applications.
• Experience preparing production-ready CAD files.
• Knowledge of Revit and BIM modeling.
