The Problem

As Flock expands deployment across communities, coordinating ground excavation and utility clearance is critical to keeping installation schedules on track. Managing high-volume Call 811 locate activity across multiple state jurisdictions requires rigorous detail, strict compliance tracking, and rapid resolution of locate exceptions. You will own that end-to-end locate workflow, taking incoming site surveys through ticket creation, agency coordination, and field readiness so installation crews can deploy without disruption.

What You'll Own

• Oversee and execute the end-to-end Call 811 ticket lifecycle in Salesforce and internal systems across assigned operating markets.

• Interpret site surveys to accurately create, update, and monitor locate tickets in compliance with state-specific regulations and timelines.

• Investigate locate anomalies, missing information, and agency delays, documenting evidence and executing clear risk escalation paths.

• Partner cross-functionally with Field Operations, scheduling, and deployment teams to provide status visibility and ensure field readiness before excavation begins.

• Utilize internal custom software and queue-management tools to prioritize high-volume locate requests and maintain complete audit records.

• Identify and implement practical process improvements or workflow automations to reduce manual rework while protecting compliance and quality.

What This Role is Not

• This isn't a field excavation or hardware installation role, you'll coordinate utility clearance from software systems and operational queues rather than physically marking or digging sites.

• This isn't a generic customer support position, your primary stakeholders are internal operations teams, state 811 centers, and field deployment partners.

• This isn't a passive data-entry job, you are expected to independently investigate exceptions, track state certification updates, and proactively clear roadblocks to field activity.

What You Bring

• Proficiency in navigating Salesforce, reporting dashboards, and operational workflow software to manage high-volume task queues.

• Strong investigative and analytical capability to interpret site surveys, identify discrepancies, and resolve locate anomalies.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills to document exception histories, cross-functional handoffs, and operational updates.

• Proven ability to prioritize competing requests under strict timing guidelines and evolving state compliance standards.

• A methodical approach to record-keeping, tracking dependencies, and closing loops with internal stakeholders.

Compensation

In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $40,000 and $50,000 as well as Flock Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in depth with you during our first chat.
