A Level Geography Tutor

TestPrep is looking for an experienced A Level Geography Tutor to join our international online teaching team.

The successful candidate should have strong experience teaching A Level and International A Level Geography across the major examination boards, with particular expertise in Pearson Edexcel.

Required Curriculum Experience

Candidates should be confident teaching Geography within the major A Level specifications, including:

• Pearson Edexcel International A Level (IAL) Geography
• Pearson Edexcel A Level Geography
• Cambridge International AS & A Level Geography
• OxfordAQA International AS/A Level Geography
• Other internationally recognised A Level Geography specifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one online A Level Geography lessons to international students.
• Teach both Physical Geography and Human Geography at A Level standard.
• Adapt lessons to the student's specific examination board and specification.
• Prepare students for examinations using syllabus-specific content, past papers and mark schemes.
• Develop students’ skills in data interpretation, geographical analysis, extended responses and essay writing.
• Teach examination technique and help students understand assessment objectives and examiner expectations.
• Identify individual weaknesses and create focused study plans.
• Monitor student progress and provide structured feedback.

Requirements

• Substantial experience teaching A Level / International A Level Geography.
• Pearson Edexcel Geography teaching experience is required.
• Experience with the other major international A Level examination boards.
• Strong knowledge of current A Level Geography specifications, assessment objectives, question structures and marking criteria.
• Ability to teach both Physical and Human Geography.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Experience preparing students for A Level examinations.
• Confidence using past papers and official mark schemes as part of exam preparation.
• Experience teaching international students is preferred.
• Ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons online.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional online teaching environment.
