We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio ETL Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise data integration and ETL development.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Ab Initio ETL Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise data integration and ETL development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Ab Initio, with exposure to Ab Initio Metadata Hub, data integration, data transformation, and enterprise data warehouse environments.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex ETL workflows and data pipelines. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work closely with business analysts, data architects, QA teams, and other technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement complex ETL workflows using Ab Initio.
- Develop and maintain Ab Initio graphs, plans, scripts, components, and applications.
- Work with Ab Initio Metadata Hub for metadata management, data lineage, data discovery, and impact analysis.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable ETL solutions.
- Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple source and target systems.
- Perform complex data transformations, cleansing, validation, aggregation, and reconciliation.
- Develop reusable ETL components and frameworks following enterprise development standards.
- Optimize Ab Initio jobs and workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures, data quality issues, production incidents, and performance problems.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and support UAT activities.
- Conduct source-to-target data analysis and mapping.
- Work with relational databases and write complex SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, ETL specifications, and operational procedures.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows established coding and documentation standards.
- Work closely with Data Architects and Data Engineers to implement enterprise data integration solutions.
- Coordinate with QA and production support teams during deployments and release activities.
- Monitor ETL processes and proactively identify and resolve data processing issues.
- Support production deployments, batch processing, scheduling, and post-production validation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical discussions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior ETL developers when required.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in ETL/Data Integration development.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
