Account Coordinator
Client Services & Account Support
Hybrid role - 3 days per week in office in Rancho Bernardo
Non-Exempt Salaried: $56,000-$58,000 w/ potential of quarterly bonus
Are you the person who keeps everything running smoothly?
You know the type. The one who catches the little details, keeps everyone organized, and somehow manages to stay on top of a dozen moving pieces without missing a beat. If that sounds like you, we may have just the opportunity you've been looking for!
We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Account Coordinator who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and making sure things get done right.
In this role, you'll be an important part of a collaborative team supporting employee benefits accounts. You'll work closely with Account Managers and Account Executives to keep client information accurate, handle enrollment updates, answer questions, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
If you enjoy variety in your work, take pride in being someone others can rely on, and love the satisfaction of checking things off your to-do list, we'd love to meet you!
What You'll Be Doing
Keeping Accounts Organized & On Track
- Maintain accurate client records, employee census information, and enrollment documents
- Process employee enrollments, terminations, and eligibility changes with insurance carriers
- Keep information updated in benefits administration systems, including Benefit Zone and Ease
- Prepare enrollment materials and important documents for employer groups
- Generate monthly renewal reports and help the team prepare for upcoming client renewals
Being a Go-To Resource for Clients & Your Team
- Respond to client questions and requests with professionalism and a helpful attitude
- Research employee eligibility questions and assist with resolving account issues
- Track client communications and service requests to ensure timely follow-up
- Partner with Account Managers, Account Executives, and teammates to keep things moving
- Pitch in with commission entry, administrative projects, and occasional phone coverage
What You'll Bring to the Team
- At least 2 years of administrative or related office experience
- Must be eligible to obtain a CA Individual Accident and Health + Life Agent license (or hold a current/valid license)
- A natural ability to stay organized, manage details, and keep track of deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the little things
- A proactive mindset and a willingness to find solutions rather than wait for answers
- The ability to work independently while being a supportive, dependable teammate
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in helping others
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus!
What Makes Someone Successful Here?
You don't have to be an expert in employee benefits on day one. What matters most is your willingness to learn, ask thoughtful questions, and take ownership of your work.
You'll likely enjoy this role if you're someone who:
- Loves turning a busy to-do list into a job well done
- Notices the details others might overlook
- Enjoys being the person teammates can count on
- Stays calm, focused, and flexible when priorities shift
- Takes initiative and doesn't mind jumping in to help
- Finds satisfaction in making someone else's day a little easier
Sound Like Your Kind of Role?
If you're organized, dependable, and ready to bring your administrative skills to a role where your work makes a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you!
