Purpose:
Reporting to the Sr. VP of Client Services, the Account Director will manage the operations for assigned RareMed Solutions accounts. As the Account Director, you will serve as a major point of contact and establish a positive working relationship with multiple levels of managers within the account. The Account Director is accountable for overall service and delivery for all assigned clients and will coordinate with relevant external and internal functional areas to ensure that the needs of the client are being met. The Account Director will ensure that all client performance standards and all contractual commitments are met or exceeded and will escalate critical client concerns to Sr. VP for resolution or consultation. Note – this is not a sales position.
Responsibilities:
Manage the client relationship as a major point of contact for interaction and communication of any and all issues related to the assigned client.
Act as a trusted advisor for the client to maximize the overall relationship with the client.
Demonstrate complete understanding of all details in each client’s contract.
Act as the internal expert of the client to ensure contract terms are being met. Manage contract parameters in a consistent and effective way.
Regularly perform account analysis and reports, proactively making suggestions to enhance accounts while ensuring client satisfaction is achieved.
Proactively raise any client or team issues that present a business risk to RareMed Solutions to VP.
Partner with the internal business areas to drive an understanding of the client’s overall longer-term strategy to ensure the organization is successful in meeting client retention goals and growth targets.
Involve other RareMed Solutions management as needed to grow the partnership by identifying new business opportunities.
Establish the appropriate communication messaging and positioning for the clients and act as the primary communication channel with the assigned clients.
Ensure timely and accurate project status communication and execution of tactical plans are delivered to clients while avoiding perceived or creating confusion regarding roles.
Identify and raise training and development needs within the account team to achieve client objectives.
Collaborate with other departments heads to facilitate the delivery of exceptional project quality and continuity as well as timely completion and within agreed upon client invoicing budget on assigned accounts.
Ensure quality control is maintained on assigned accounts. Take active role in assisting Program leadership in client audit prep and follow up recommendations.
Collaborate with program manager to review profitability management, including but not limited to, staffing models, contracting and service line expansions.
Collaborate with program manager on content, provide feedback and participate in formal presentations upon request, resulting in a high-quality quarterly business reviews (QBRs) for accounts.
Collaborate with Business Development to drive sales and grow revenue by identifying new business opportunities and participating upon request as a SME in client pitches.
Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with key accounts, external vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5-7+ years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare leadership role, demonstrating progressive responsibility in areas such as people management, project management and/or pharmacy management in a client facing role.
Working Knowledge of Reimbursement Pharmacy and/or Medical benefits
Prior experience and knowledge with pharmacy hub services
Advanced knowledge and experience in healthcare setting
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a focus on client satisfaction
Ability to independently manage case load, prioritize work, and use time management skills to manage deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task on multiple projects at the same time
Working knowledge of Third-Party and other Foundation programs a major plus
Understanding of various plan types – Government, Commercial, Medicaid, VA, Fed
Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build productive internal/external working relationships and work well together
Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation)
Proven ability to work effectively with cross functional teams

Work Environment
RareMed offers a hybrid work structure, combining remote work and in-office requirements. The frequency of onsite requirements will vary depending on role, operational needs, meetings, client visits, or team collaboration activities. Employees must be within commuting distance to Pittsburgh, PA, and able to report to the office when needed. We will provide advance notice when possible. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. When telecommuting, employees must have reliable internet access to utilize required systems and software required for the position's responsibilities. The amount of time the employee is expected to work per day or pay period will not change while working from home. Employees are responsible for the set-up of their home office environment, including physical set-up, internet connection, phone line, electricity, lighting, comfortable temperature, furniture, etc. Employee’s teleworking space should be separate and distinct from their “home space” and allow for privacy.
