Account Director, CX, Netherlands

Location: Netherlands (Amsterdam or Remote)

Salary & benefits: Compensation and benefits will be discussed during the initial conversation with shortlisted candidates.

We’re partnering with a founder-led global software company to grow its business in the Netherlands.

What makes it exciting

This is a rare chance to own a market. You’ll run the Netherlands like it’s your own business: looking after current customers, winning new ones and deciding how to spend your own marketing budget. It’s a senior, hands-on role for someone who wants their results to be seen.

You'll be joining a founder-led software company that’s been growing for over 20 years, and many of its leaders have been with the business for a long time and grown into bigger roles. Teams are small, so you’ll work directly with senior leadership.

The culture is flexible and international, with people trusted to manage their time and deliver results. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the support of an established global business behind you. You’d be representing a platform that brings surveys, research and customer feedback together, and that well-known Dutch companies already use.

The Role

You’ll own the Netherlands end to end. That means growing the current customer base and winning new mid-sized and large companies, with typical deals worth €30K a year or more.

You’ll build your own pipeline, creating and working a list of around 100 target companies each quarter, and manage every deal from first conversation to signed contract. You’ll also host client dinners, webinars and events with partners.

You’ll be your customers’ first point of contact, in Dutch and English. You’ll lead their conversations, understand their technical requirements and work with the support team to make sure things get done. You’ll use AI tools every day to research accounts, translate content and prepare proposals.

What you'll bring

  • Around 5 to 10 years of experience selling subscription software (SaaS), with a track record of winning new business against a sales target
  • Experience closing deals worth €30K a year or more, which you won and managed yourself from start to finish
  • Experience selling customer feedback or research software is ideal; CRM or marketing software works well too
  • Comfort with technical detail: you’ve helped customers set up software, connect it to other systems or move data from an old platform
  • The drive to build your own pipeline, and a preference for winning the next deal over planning the next hire
  • Native Dutch and fluent English
  • Based in the Netherlands; Amsterdam is a plus, not a requirement
  • You already use AI tools in your work and enjoy trying new ones

Where it leads

You’ll start by owning the Netherlands. As the market grows, so does the role, and that can mean building and leading your own team. Progression here is closely linked to results.

The role is fully remote within the Netherlands, with time spent with customers and at industry and partner events.

Interview Process

The interview process has three stages, including a practical exercise.

  1. Initial screening call with Joanna Byerley, Fractional Talent Partner
  2. Video conversation with the Managing Director
  3. A practical exercise, presented over video, including a short customer scenario and a follow-up call with a Global Managing Director

If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you’re looking for, we’d be pleased to hear from you.

Due to the high volume of applications we expect to receive, we may only be able to contact shortlisted candidates. Thank you for your interest and understanding.
