Who We Are

Learning something new can open doors, bring people together, and change a life. At CourseStorm, we help make those opportunities easier to find and join.

Since 2012, our software has helped arts, culture, and education organizations simplify class registration, reach more students, and grow their programs. That means less administrative work for the people running those programs, and more time for the communities they serve.

We’re a small, friendly team that cares about doing good work and helping one another succeed. Our values (Simplicity, Helpfulness, and Growth) guide how we build our product, work with customers, and treat each other. As an Account Executive, you’ll get to know people doing meaningful work and help them decide whether CourseStorm is the right fit for their organization.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Account Executive to help generate and close new opportunities. You’ll own the full sales cycle, helping arts, culture, and education organizations simplify class registration and grow their programs.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle, from identifying and engaging prospects through discovery, demos, proposals, and closing new business.
  • Lead discovery conversations that uncover business challenges, goals, and decision-making processes, helping prospects connect their needs to the value CourseStorm can deliver.
  • Deliver personalized demos that show how CourseStorm can solve each organization’s challenges and support its goals.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and guide opportunities forward with clear next steps and an understanding of what each organization needs to make a decision.
  • Develop proposals, navigate objections, and lead pricing conversations to close business.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, manage your pipeline, and provide reliable forecasts of expected sales.
  • Develop expertise in CourseStorm’s platform, customers, competitors, and market, and sharpen your sales skills through regular coaching, call reviews, and role-playing.
  • Research organizations that could benefit from CourseStorm and develop thoughtful outbound plans for your book of accounts.
  • Generate qualified pipeline through cold calling, personalized email, and other creative prospecting strategies while meeting activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.

What We’re Looking For

At least one year of experience as an Account Executive in a closing role at a SaaS company is required.

We’re looking for someone with the drive, curiosity, and coachability to build on that experience and continue developing their skills.

You’ll likely thrive here if you are:

  • Coachable and eager to learn. You seek feedback, apply it quickly, and enjoy developing new skills.
  • Motivated to grow in SaaS sales. You’re driven by goals, continuous improvement, and the opportunity to take on greater responsibility.
  • Curious and thoughtful. You ask good open-ended questions and seek to understand before offering solutions.
  • Creative. You look for personalized, compelling ways to stand out and earn a prospect’s attention.
  • Comfortable with outbound. You’re willing to pick up the phone, start conversations, and stay resilient when you hear “no.”
  • Hardworking and consistent. You believe sustained effort creates opportunities and take ownership of your results.
  • Organized and proactive. You can manage multiple opportunities, prioritize your time, and keep commitments to prospects and teammates.
  • A strong communicator and teammate. You communicate clearly, share ideas, and enjoy helping others succeed.

Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with HubSpot and experience working with education, arts and culture, or nonprofit organizations are a plus.

Why Join CourseStorm?

We care about the work we do and the lives we lead outside it. You’ll join a team that shares ideas, offers honest feedback, celebrates progress, and makes room to learn. You’ll have ownership of your work, hands-on coaching, and colleagues you can turn to for help.

Our benefits support that same approach:

  • Keep learning, just for you. A $1,000 annual personal learning stipend to buy books, take a class with a friend, or explore something you’ve always wanted to learn.
  • Grow professionally. Paid professional development, along with regular sales coaching and feedback.
  • Make your workspace work for you. A $1,200 home-office budget.
  • Have room for life outside work. Take-what-you-need paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave.
  • Work remotely, stay connected. A U.S.-based remote role with occasional travel to Maine.
  • Support your health and future. Medical, dental, and vision insurance; short-term disability and life insurance; and a retirement plan.

CourseStorm has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Maine. We want to keep earning that recognition through how we support our people every day.
