About AACI Group
AACI Group, Inc. is dedicated to making insurance more accessible and affordable in catastrophe-prone regions. Climate change is increasing the frequency and severity of wildfires and other natural disasters, while carriers are retreating from high-risk markets. Homeowners are being left with fewer and more expensive options. We are addressing this challenge by building AI-native insurance agencies and digital services that combine risk data, loss prevention, and innovative product delivery.
About Five Bays Insurance Agency
Five Bays Insurance Agency is an independent personal lines insurance agency helping homeowners and property owners secure coverage in hard-to-insure, catastrophe-prone markets, with an initial focus on California. We specialize in navigating constrained underwriting environments and helping clients maintain meaningful, sustainable coverage.
Role Overview
Five Bays sells in squads: an Account Executive (AE), an Account Manager (AM) and a Customer Service Representative (CSR), backed by automated quoting, a Manual Quoting team for manual and wholesale risks, and a centralized Servicing team that owns everything after bind. As the Account Executive, you own the sales outcome for every deal in your squad. You set the plan for each client, lead the complex placements and coverage conversations, and make the bind decision. Your Account Manager takes the licensed follow-ups and the more straightforward deals, and your CSR and our AI-native tools take the clerical work off your plate. This role is for a licensed producer who wants to sell more by working smarter, not by personally handling every touch.
Key Responsibilities
Own your squad's pipeline and results: prioritize deals, set the plan and lane for each client, and hit the squad's new business premium targets
Lead the complex placements yourself, including California FAIR Plan plus DIC, broker of record (BOR) transfers, wholesale and high-value risks, and multi-property clients
Advise clients on coverage, carrier options and market constraints, including surplus lines placements, through our online quote experience, email or phone
Decide when a risk needs manual or wholesale quoting, handle complex objections and eligibility questions, and approve material coverage changes
Confirm each client's election and required pre-bind documents, make the bind decision, and bind coverage with carriers, MGAs and wholesalers
Delegate well: hand callbacks, standard closes and straightforward deals to your Account Manager, and preparation, scheduling and document collection to your CSR
Work the plan with your Account Manager and coach them as they grow, and cover for each other so clients always reach a licensed advisor
Keep our CRM accurate, with a clear next action, owner and due date on every deal and a reason on every lost deal, and hand bound policies to Servicing cleanly
Qualifications
4+ years of P&C insurance sales experience, with a track record of closing personal lines business
Active Property & Casualty license, with a California license (resident or non-resident) or the ability to obtain one within 60 days
Strong knowledge of homeowners insurance in catastrophe-exposed markets; experience with the California FAIR Plan, DIC and surplus lines is a plus
Experience leading, mentoring or coaching other producers
Excellent communication and organizational skills, and comfortable working a pipeline across email, phone, CRM and shared inboxes
Desire to embrace and incorporate advanced AI tooling into sales workflows
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $70,000 to $90,000, plus bonus eligibility
Health benefits and paid time off
Growth opportunities within Five Bays and AACI Group
Location & Reporting
Remote within the U.S., working California business hours (Pacific time)
Reports to the VP of Operations
