Hybrid working: 3 days in the Dublin Office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), with 2 days working from home.
We’re looking for an Account Executive to join Beachhut PR’s Dublin office. We are a specialist technology PR agency working with innovative companies to bring their stories to the world. If you’re passionate about technology and business and keen to build a career in PR, this is an opportunity to develop your skills within a growing team.
The role
Beachhut PR is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Account Executive to support its growing portfolio of technology clients in its Dublin office. You’ll work across a variety of tech accounts, helping innovative businesses raise their profile, build relationships with the media and communicate their stories to audiences internationally.
This is an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of technology PR, from researching and writing compelling content to pitching stories to journalists, supporting client communications plans and contributing creative ideas. You’ll develop a strong understanding of the clients you work with, the industries they operate in and the media landscape, while building the skills and confidence to progress your PR career.
No two days will be the same. You could be researching a new industry trend, drafting a press release, pitching a story to a journalist, helping organise a speaker opportunity or supporting a client at an event. You’ll have the opportunity to take initiative, contribute ideas and see the impact of your work.
About You
You’re a strong communicator with excellent writing skills, a proactive approach and a genuine interest in technology and business. You’re organised, curious and comfortable building relationships with people, and you’re keen to learn how to turn interesting ideas into compelling stories.
You understand the importance of staying on top of news, social media and industry trends, and you’re interested in how businesses communicate with their audiences. You’ll ideally have some experience in PR, communications, journalism or a related field, along with an awareness of the tech media landscape.
You will have an interest in or experience of:
- Researching and drafting a range of PR materials including pitches, media briefings, Q&As, case studies and background documents
- Creating engaging content for print, broadcast and digital channels
- Pitching stories to journalists by phone and email, and confidently following up
- Building relationships with journalists and developing a strong understanding of relevant media outlet
- Monitoring news, social media and industry trends to identify opportunities for clients
- Developing a thorough understanding of clients’ businesses and the sectors in which they operate
- Contributing ideas to client campaigns, new business proposals and presentations
- Supporting clients at events
You’ll be proactive, well organised and eager to learn, with the confidence to take initiative while working collaboratively with the wider team.
Salary and Benefits
Beachhut PR offers a competitive benefits package, including:
- 25 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
- Additional time off over Christmas, agreed at the company’s discretion
- Discretionary annual performance bonus
- Contributory pension with employer-matched contributions.
- Health insurance
- Wellness allowance
- Phone allowance
- Half-day summer Fridays
- Hybrid and flexible working, with three days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and two days working from home
