Account Executive, EMEA Market Development (Founding Hire)
Morning ConsultAbout Morning Consult:
Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions. The company pairs its proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to better inform decisions on what people think and how they will act.
Morning Consult surveys 30,000+ people every day across 50+ countries — one of the largest proprietary survey engines in the world, with a cumulative dataset of 6 billion+ questions answered. We're turning that data into AI-native decision intelligence. Our data is trusted by organizations from central banks to Fortune 500 brands to leading media institutions, including Apple, Google, Netflix, Amazon, Salesforce, Target, American Express, and Starbucks. Leaders at these companies, and many more, rely on Morning Consult to turn real-time consumer signal into confident, faster decisions.
This is Morning Consult's first dedicated global hire — you'll open new markets, not join an established one. The role is based in London.
The Role:
Morning Consult is hiring its first UK-based Account Executive to build inroads in new global markets with focus on the UK and EMEA. This is a quota-carrying role and you will own a revenue number from day one. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you'll own the UK and EMEA go-to-market motion from the ground up: prospecting, positioning, and full sales cycles. While this is a greenfield build without an inherited pipeline, you won't be doing it alone — you'll have direct support from the US-based GTM team on developing the local playbook, sales enablement, competitive positioning, and marketing collateral.
You'll test and refine what resonates with UK and EMEA buyers, report back on what's working, and help shape Morning Consult's broader international expansion strategy. A genuine interest in marketing, positioning, and buyer strategy matters here as much as sales execution skill, as well as a keen interest in having a robust feedback loop with sales leadership to continually iterate on what is working in the global markets.
What You'll be Working On:
Lead complex, high-value sales cycles with an average deal size (ACV) of approximately £75,000–£85,000 across enterprise accounts, including advanced qualification, discovery, and deal structuring.
Own top-of-funnel and full-cycle sales activities — from prospecting and outreach to closing — with a strong emphasis on self-sourced pipeline.
Build pipeline in a greenfield market. You will identify and prioritize target accounts, develop your own outreach, and create demand where none exists yet.
Deliver compelling, customized platform demonstrations and thought leadership to C-level and executive stakeholders, leveraging deep product and industry knowledge.
Maintain rigorous pipeline management and forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and providing actionable visibility to leadership.
Prospect into continental EMEA — to help build the pipeline case for a second regional hire.
Share market feedback with the CRO and US-based team — what's resonating with buyers, where we're winning, and where we're not — to help sharpen the pitch and inform future hiring decisions.
Represent Morning Consult externally, including UK trade press briefings and a flagship UK launch event as part of the company's go-to-market announcement.
About You and What You've Done:
5–8 years of enterprise sales experience (or equivalent demonstrated track record), with a strong record of closing complex, net-new deals in SaaS, data, or market research environments.
Demonstrated ability to independently build pipeline through outbound prospecting without reliance on inbound leads or SDR support.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close high-value, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
Experience selling into UK and/or European enterprise buyers preferred, not required.
BS/BA or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
Deep intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Advanced knowledge of marketing, communications, data, or brand strategy.
Genuine interest in market positioning and buyer strategy — you enjoy figuring out how to enter and win a market, not just executing an established playbook.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive and C-suite audiences.
Familiarity with survey research and its methods (highly valued, but not required).
Based in London, UK with flexibility for overlap with US-based teams.
What We Offer:
The expected base salary range for this role is £90,000–£120,000, with an OTE of £180,000–£240,000 (50/50 split). Final package will be commensurate with experience.
Benefits:
Health: Freedom Health Elite Family cover
Pension: Auto-enrolment
Internet stipend: £65/month
New hire stipend: £200
Holiday: 20 days + public holidays
Work model: Remote-first — no mandatory office days, though regular client travel and in-person events (including the UK launch event) are expected as part of the role
Beyond compensation, this role comes with the rare opportunity to build MC's EMEA go-to-market from the ground up — shaping not just your own success, but the playbook and hiring decisions that follow you.
