The company
WORK-SELF builds Maya Enterprise, the Human Context infrastructure for enterprise AI. AI agents increasingly perform work inside large organisations, but they need context about the people and decisions around that work: who owns it, which decisions an agent can make, when a person reviews the result and how exceptions are escalated. Maya provides this governed context through an MCP-native server so employees and agents can complete work through accountable workflows.
We are a London-based enterprise AI company. In our first year we won enterprise contracts across banking, utilities, property services and European public finance, reached EBITDA-positive operations with a small team, and deployed Maya with enterprise customers. We work with technology and delivery partners and hold a granted US AI patent assigned to the company. Our next stage is scaling product delivery, enterprise adoption and partner-led growth. The people joining now will help build that next stage.
The role
You will own a focused portfolio of financial-services accounts, taking enterprise opportunities from first conversation to signed agreement and expansion. Buyers may include CFOs, COOs, Chief AI Officers and transformation leaders; technical, data governance, risk and procurement teams will influence whether a deal can proceed. Your job is to build an operating-value case for Maya, then lead the whole buying group through evidence, evaluation and commercial decision.
Expected compensation ranges: £75k – £140k per year (OTE) + £130k - £200k (Equity) + Bonus on performance and standard benefits
What you will own
Named-account strategy. Build informed plans for banks, insurers and financial-services groups. Map executive sponsors, operational owners, technology leaders, procurement and risk stakeholders; identify a specific workflow problem before proposing a solution.
Full-cycle enterprise selling. Originate opportunities through senior relationships, targeted research, conferences, partner introductions and disciplined outreach. Lead discovery, executive briefings, commercial proposals, negotiations and close plans.
Operating value and business cases. Translate review time, rework, exception handling and coordination delays into specific baseline measures. Build cases that connect delivered work to financial and operational outcomes, while addressing the governance and architecture questions that shape approval.
Complex buying-group management. Keep the economic buyer, workflow owner, technology team, risk and compliance stakeholders aligned. Make security, architecture, procurement and legal requirements visible early and maintain clear executive momentum.
Forecasting and expansion. Maintain clean CRM records, stage evidence and realistic forecasts. Build account expansion plans based on demonstrated workflow results and sponsorship across functions.
You will know you are succeeding when
First 30 days. You understand Maya's financial-services use cases, have mapped priority accounts and their buying groups, and book or advance 5 qualified demos per week towards pilots or commercial evaluation.
By 90 days. You book 10 qualified demos per week and convert 3 client pilots per quarter. Your named-account pipeline has clear buyer sponsorship, evidence-based value cases and documented next steps.
By 180 days. You have closed £500k in new revenue, supported by signed agreements, credible value cases and reliable forecasts. You have documented lessons that make the sales approach repeatable.
Who does well here
• Proven experience originating and closing complex enterprise B2B SaaS or infrastructure deals, ideally in financial services or regulated sectors.
• Evidence of quota performance, self-sourced pipeline and senior relationships across commercial and technology stakeholders.
• Credible with both operating-value buyers and technology, data governance, risk and procurement stakeholders in regulated financial services.
• Strong written account planning, executive presentation and commercial negotiation skills.
• Practical use of AI tools for research, preparation and workflow improvement, with sound judgement about confidentiality.
The role demands proactive enterprise selling and evidence-led business cases, not inbound-only opportunities or generic product demonstrations.
What you get
• Direct access to the founder on strategic enterprise pursuits and partner relationships.
• Ownership of a focused vertical with the ability to influence sales playbooks and market approach.
• The opportunity to help build and scale an early-stage enterprise AI company.
