Edelman is looking for an Account Executive to join our U.S. Health team in New York. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career communications professional to support a leading pharmaceutical brand, contributing to meaningful healthcare communications campaigns that connect science, storytelling, and patient needs.

As part of Edelman's Associate Practice, you'll gain hands-on client experience, collaborate with talented colleagues across disciplines, and build the skills needed to grow your career in healthcare communications. You'll play an important role in keeping campaigns organized, supporting client deliverables, and helping the team navigate the evolving pharmaceutical communications landscape.

If you're curious, detail-oriented, and excited about building your career in healthcare communications, we'd love to hear from you.

Who You Are

You're an organized, proactive communications professional who enjoys keeping projects moving and collaborating with others. You take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work, managing multiple priorities, and anticipating what your team needs next.

You're comfortable asking questions, learning new processes, and taking ownership of your responsibilities. You bring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset to everything you do.

What You'll Do

  • Support the day-to-day execution of branded pharmaceutical communications campaigns, helping coordinate deliverables, timelines, and project activities.
  • Assist with medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review processes, including coordinating material submissions, tracking approvals, and navigating internal review platforms with appropriate training.
  • Coordinate client and internal meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking detailed notes, drafting recaps, and tracking action items.
  • Maintain project trackers, team documents, calendars, and status reports to keep account activities organized and on schedule.
  • Draft, edit, and organize client communications, presentations, campaign materials, and other deliverables with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor healthcare industry developments, competitor activity, and relevant media coverage to support campaign planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with account teams and cross-functional partners to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative team environment by embracing diverse perspectives, practicing conscious inclusion, and continuously seeking opportunities to learn and grow.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on professional experience in public relations, communications, or a related discipline, gained within an agency or in-house communications team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical communications, particularly supporting branded pharmaceutical products or campaigns.
  • Familiarity with medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review processes, pharmaceutical content approvals, or regulated communications environments.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing meeting recaps, client updates, and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a willingness to learn new tools, processes, and industry requirements.
