Job Description

Influxer is the leading NIL platform for student-athletes, schools, brands, agents, and fans.

We are building the complete NIL infrastructure that helps athletes launch licensed merchandise, grow their personal brands, connect with fans, engage with brands, and access new opportunities across the athlete economy.

Influxer works with 650+ licensed schools and organizations, including LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida, USC, and national partnerships with the NAIA and NJCAA. More than 75,000 student-athletes have joined the Influxer platform.

For schools, brands, and partners, Influxer creates a compliant and scalable way to drive athlete engagement, merchandise revenue, sponsorships, fan engagement, digital media, and regional activations. As NIL evolves, Influxer is building the platform where athlete monetization, school partnerships, brand sponsorships, ecommerce, data, and technology come together.

Role overview

Influxer is looking for a Licensed School Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of licensed school partners.

This is a commission-based role with the opportunity to earn from day one by managing accounts that are already active and generating revenue. Unlike a traditional cold-start sales role, this position gives the Account Manager an assigned portfolio of existing licensed schools with immediate commission potential, while also creating additional upside through growth, sponsorships, renewals, and expansion opportunities.

The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring each school is supported, engaged, and maximizing its value with Influxer. This person will work with athletic departments, licensing teams, bookstore partners, coaches, athletes, regional businesses, sponsors, and internal teams to drive athlete participation, merchandise sales, sponsorship revenue, campus engagement, renewals, and long-term growth.

This person will also help identify and procure regional brand sponsors for assigned schools, including local businesses, regional companies, alumni-owned businesses, agencies, and community partners.

This is a remote role with required travel. The Account Manager is expected to make at least one campus visit per month to one of the schools in their assigned portfolio, which may include approximately 50 licensed schools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a portfolio of approximately 50 licensed school partners.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned schools.
  • Build relationships with athletic departments, licensing contacts, bookstore partners, coaches, administrators, athletes, and school stakeholders.
  • Help schools maximize athlete onboarding, merchandise sales, fan engagement, sponsorship revenue, and overall partnership value.
  • Identify growth opportunities through athlete signups, product launches, bookstore partnerships, team campaigns, wholesale, sponsorships, regional brand partnerships, and school-specific promotions.
  • Prospect and procure regional brand sponsors for assigned schools.
  • Package and pitch school-specific sponsorship opportunities connecting brands with athletes, fans, parents, students, alumni, and campus communities.
  • Conduct regular school check-ins to review performance, needs, opportunities, sponsor prospects, and upcoming initiatives.
  • Make at least one campus visit per month and prepare visit plans around key stakeholders, sponsor targets, athlete activation, merchandise opportunities, and revenue growth.
  • Track school activity, sponsor pipeline, communication, opportunities, and follow-ups in the company CRM or account management system.
  • Support renewals, account expansion, and deeper engagement with existing licensed schools.
  • Help foster new licensed school opportunities through referrals, introductions, conferences, regional market activity, and existing school networks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on licensing, designs, athlete pages, product launches, marketing campaigns, sponsor activations, reporting, and fulfillment.
  • Represent Influxer professionally in all school, athlete, sponsor, and partner communications.
  • Stay curious and forward-thinking about how AI, automation, data, CRM systems, reporting dashboards, and emerging tools can improve school relationships, athlete engagement, sponsorship activation, sales performance, and account management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of account management, customer success, partnerships, sales, business development, athletics, sponsorship, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts, stakeholders, and revenue opportunities at once.
  • Ability to identify revenue opportunities and turn relationships into measurable growth.
  • Comfortable prospecting and developing regional brand sponsor opportunities.
  • Able to travel for at least one campus visit per month.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, spreadsheets, email, video calls, reporting systems, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
  • Self-motivated and able to work remotely with consistent output.
  • Genuine interest in college sports, NIL, athlete branding, licensed merchandise, sponsorships, ecommerce, technology, or sports business.

Nice to have, but not required

  • Experience working with colleges, universities, athletic departments, licensing teams, bookstores, sponsors, or student-athletes.
  • Familiarity with NIL, college licensing, merchandise, ecommerce, sponsorships, digital media, or athlete marketing.
  • Existing network within college athletics, university administration, regional business communities, agencies, or brand sponsors.
  • Experience managing renewals, upsells, account expansion, or sponsorship sales.
  • Experience with Shopify, HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday, Klaviyo, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI tools, or similar systems.
  • Comfort using data, AI, automation, or reporting tools to improve account planning and partner outcomes.

Compensation

This is a commission-based role with immediate earning potential.

Commission opportunities may include

  • The Account Manager will be assigned a portfolio of licensed school accounts that are already active and generating commissionable revenue.
  • Compensation may include commission or bonuses tied to revenue from assigned schools, sponsorship revenue, renewals, account expansion, bookstore opportunities, wholesale orders, athlete participation, and school-specific campaign performance.
  • Additional upside may be available for regional brand sponsorships, new school opportunities, and revenue growth created within the assigned portfolio.
  • Travel reimbursement or approved travel support will be provided for required campus visits.
  • Final compensation structure will be based on assigned portfolio size, candidate experience, scope of responsibility, and agreed-upon performance targets.

Who this role is best for

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, understands college sports, and wants to earn by growing an existing portfolio rather than starting from scratch. The right person is organized, proactive, personable, commercially minded, and comfortable working directly with schools and regional sponsors. This person should be able to manage relationships remotely, show up professionally on campus, identify business opportunities in each school's market, and help Influxer become a trusted NIL, merchandise, sponsorship, and technology partner.
