Account Manager

Role Description The Account Manager is a remote, contract role responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with educational institutions and other key partners using AfriPay’s platform. Day-to-day tasks include serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding client needs, coordinating onboarding and training, and ensuring smooth usage of AfriPay’s services. The role involves monitoring account performance, resolving issues, gathering feedback, and collaborating with internal teams to improve service delivery. The Account Manager will also identify opportunities for account growth, support renewals, and contribute to client communications and reporting.
Qualifications

• Client relationship management and account coordination skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships.
• Experience in customer support or success roles, including handling inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and following through on resolutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical or financial concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Organizational and time-management skills, including managing multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with payment platforms, fintech, or education technology, and comfort working with digital tools and dashboards.
• Analytical skills to review account performance data, identify trends, and propose improvements or growth opportunities.
• Proactive, self-directed work style with a focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience working with international clients is an advantage.
