At myPOS, we’re all about helping businesses grow and get paid. We make payments simple, smart, and accessible for everyone, but we’re more than just payment solutions - myPOS is a partner in growth. From free multicurrency accounts to powerful e-commerce tools, we’re here to support business owners of all sizes and everyone out there who dreams of starting their own business.
As we continue to grow across Europe, we're looking for an Account Manager to join our Benelux team in Amsterdam, helping our merchants get the most from myPOS and supporting their continued success.
About the role:
Our largest merchants rely on myPOS to run their businesses, and they need someone who truly understands theirs. That's where you come in. As an Account Manager, you'll be the trusted advisor for a named portfolio of our most important accounts, closely following each business as it evolves. Earn their confidence, and you'll have a real say in how they use myPOS - from the products they choose to the support they receive, and much more.
Reporting to the Country Manager, you'll combine relationship management, commercial ownership and hands-on problem-solving to protect and grow your portfolio, helping merchants succeed while strengthening their long-term partnership with myPOS.
What you'll do:
Merchant Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with business owners, finance leads and key decision-makers across your named portfolio, acting as their trusted commercial partner.
Account Planning & Business Reviews: Lead regular business reviews, develop annual account plans and identify opportunities to strengthen merchant engagement and long-term value.
Retention & Merchant Health: Monitor account performance, identify early signs of risk and take proactive action to protect revenue, reduce churn and maintain merchant satisfaction.
Portfolio Growth & Product Adoption: Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by recommending relevant myPOS products and features, providing hands-on guidance, training and updates to support adoption.
Operational Support & Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for merchant queries and operational matters, resolving straightforward issues directly and coordinating with Operations, Risk and Compliance to address more complex challenges and minimise disruption.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing and other internal teams to address merchant needs, improve service delivery and share feedback that informs product and service enhancements.
Commercial Performance & Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast portfolio performance and track key measures including revenue growth, merchant activation and retention.
What you'll bring:
Account Management Experience: At least 5 years' experience in account management, key account sales or customer success, ideally supporting SMB and mid-market businesses within payments, fintech or software.
Commercial Growth & Retention: A proven track record of managing and growing an existing portfolio, with clear evidence of retaining customers, protecting revenue and identifying opportunities for expansion.
Analytical & Financial Acumen: Confidence interpreting commercial performance data, including transaction volumes, margins and churn indicators, and translating insights into practical action.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Strong commercial judgement and the ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with business owners, finance leaders and senior decision-makers.
Communication & Customer Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in Dutch and English, and a customer-centric, solutions-oriented approach.
Organisation & Collaboration: The ability to manage competing priorities, resolve problems effectively and work across multiple internal teams to deliver positive merchant outcomes.
Why you should join myPOS:
High-visibility role with direct commercial impact, helping merchants grow across Europe.
Join a vibrant international fintech business investing in modern technology and ways of working.
Opportunities for career progression, continuous learning and professional development.
What we offer:
Competitive salary with performance-based variable earnings and annual salary reviews.
Hybrid working - 3 days a week in our Amsterdam office.
29 days of paid annual leave, plus an additional 8% holiday allowance paid in May.
Pension scheme in line with applicable Dutch arrangements.
