- Maintain satisfaction across the installed base.
- Respond to customer calls and emails within 24 hours, and provide accurate quotes within 24–48 hours.
- Partner with Product Specialists, Consumables and Supplies, Service, and all One Agilent colleagues in the territory.
- Submit accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
- Maintain disciplined Salesforce CRM updates, expense reporting, and business reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or another physical or life science discipline from an accredited university.
- 1+ years of relevant experience — either scientific/laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation (GC, LC, MS) or field sales and customer-facing experience.
- Working understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, or related analytical workflows.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, funding sources, and procurement processes.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at every level, internally and externally.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
- Strong self-management, organizational, territory planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team-selling environment and independently in a performance-driven setting.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred
- 1+ years of sales experience in analytical instrumentation, laboratory technology, life sciences, or a related scientific market.
- Experience selling into pharmaceutical, academic, university, government, or research laboratory environments.
