About the Role
As an Account Manager for Commodities in the MEIA region, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue expansion and fostering strategic relationships across the Middle East and Africa. You will act as a trusted commercial partner to our mid-market account base, ensuring our clients derive maximum value from Kpler’s real-time market intelligence platforms. By identifying new growth opportunities, leading high-value contract negotiations, and capturing market insights directly from industry leaders, you will directly impact Kpler’s expansion in a high-growth region.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Account Growth: Manage and scale a portfolio of commodity accounts across MEA, consistently meeting and exceeding annual retention and upsell targets.
Unlock Value & Expansion: Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts, navigating complex commercial conversations to close strategic deals.
Commercial Strategy & Analytics: Serve as a core commercial partner to internal teams, providing accurate CRM data, pipeline forecasts, and market insights to support regional budgeting and demand planning.
Customer & Market Intelligence: Gather structured product and competitive feedback directly from key accounts to inform product development and corporate strategy.
Strategic Negotiations: Lead contract renewal and expansion negotiations to secure long-term, profitable agreements while ensuring full compliance with company standards.
Regional Representation: Represent Kpler externally with high professional credibility, building strong multi-level stakeholder networks across the energy and commodities sectors.
Experience & Background
What you'll need (Must-haves)

5+ years of commercial sales or account management experience, specifically within technology, SaaS, or data/intelligence vendors.

Strong domain understanding of commodities, energy, or global trade markets and trends.

Proven track record of pipeline generation, commercial negotiations, and hitting expansion revenue targets.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

Direct industry experience in the maritime or shipping intelligence space.

Working proficiency with modern sales enablement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Sales Navigator).

Fluency in Arabic or French alongside full professional fluency in English.
