Position: Account Manager, Dairy & Beverage
Location: Vaudreuil, Quebec
Territory: Eastern Canada
Status: Full-time, permanent (1). This role is open to replace an internal promotion.

We are looking for a high-performing Account Manager to join our team, focused on growing and maintaining our strategic B2B customer base within the Canadian food industry. You will act as the primary liaison between our organization and key customer partners, driving market share expansion, negotiating contracts, and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
Reporting to our Business Segment Manager – Dairy & Beverage the ideal candidate will bring a strong sales experience with a technical background, to maintain and develop an established territory. The role involves traveling regularly within the assigned territory and possibly other provinces and promoting Quadra's products and services. This includes the development and implementation of a team-based strategic sales plan based on a solid understanding of industry trends and customer needs.

Here are the main responsibilities of our Account Managers:
- Account Management & Customer Relationships: Manage assigned customer accounts and build strong, trusted relationships with key customer contacts, ensuring consistent day-to-day account coverage and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Sales Development & Customer Retention: Support profitable growth within the Dairy & Beverage segment by identifying customer needs, pursuing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing accounts.
- Opportunity Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by identifying new opportunities, progressing existing opportunities, and supporting the commercialization of wins within the assigned territory.
- Sales & Margin Objectives: Work toward annual sales and margin objectives through effective account management, customer engagement, and identification of growth opportunities.
- Customer Needs Assessment: Understand customers’ business needs, priorities, and challenges and recommend appropriate products and solutions from Quadra’s portfolio.
- Product Sales & Promotion: Promote and sell Quadra’s high-quality product portfolio within targeted Dairy & Beverage markets through customer visits, joint calls, presentations, and participation in relevant industry events.
- Technical Support & Problem Solving: Work with customers and internal technical resources to address standard to moderately complex technical or service-related challenges and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with day-to-day customer contacts, key decision-makers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support customer retention and account growth.
- New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new customers and business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and other lead-generation activities.
- Commercial Proposals & Negotiations: Develop and adapt customer proposals and commercial solutions within established frameworks, supporting negotiations and coordinating internally as required.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Operations, Supply Chain, technical teams, suppliers, and other internal partners to ensure effective account execution and customer support.
- Organization & Account Planning: Independently manage customer follow-ups, priorities, schedules, and account activities while seeking guidance when situations are particularly complex or sensitive.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely reporting on customer activities, opportunities, pipeline development, and account progress.

What qualifications and previous experience are required to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Food Engineering, Business, Commerce, or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales, account management, customer relationship, or industry experience
- Previous business-to-business (B2B) sales experience within the food industry, particularly with Beverage accounts, is preferred. Experience with Sports Nutrition accounts is considered an asset
- Technical knowledge of food ingredients is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer accounts, develop strong relationships, and identify opportunities for account growth and new business
- Ability to understand customer needs and develop or adapt commercial solutions within established business frameworks
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage priorities, customer follow-ups, and multiple opportunities
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when addressing customer and business challenges
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment while managing deadlines and competing priorities
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and passport

Compensation Information: The annual base salary for this position is expected to range between $73,400.00 and $114,700.00. Please note that this base salary range is provided for reference purposes only. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary represents just one component of our overall compensation package. This role is also eligible for a generous incentive program and comprehensive benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked against the market and determined by role and level. Final base salary will be aligned with the selected candidate’s qualifications, skill set, competencies, and work location.
