Show job description

DO IT Organic has been active in the Italian market for many years, but there is still plenty of room to grow. That’s why we are looking for a commercial and proactive Account Manager who wants to strengthen our position in Italy and make a visible impact on our growth.

You will build long-term relationships with Italian food manufacturers, grow existing accounts and create new business across our broad portfolio of organic ingredients.

What will you be doing?

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing sustainable and profitable customer relationships in the Italian market. You will manage existing accounts, identify new opportunities and connect customers with the right organic ingredients from our broad portfolio.

As an Account Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Growing existing accounts by identifying opportunities for new products, categories and applications.

  • Actively developing new business and building relationships with potential customers.

  • Managing the complete sales process, from first contact to long-term partnership.

  • Staying close to customers through regular calls, visits and follow-ups.

  • Negotiating prices, volumes and commercial agreements, with a clear focus on sustainable and profitable growth.

  • Keeping opportunities, forecasts and customer information accurate and up to date in our CRM.

  • Managing the administrative side of your accounts and ensuring timely internal follow-up.

  • Sharing customer insights, market developments and opportunities with your colleagues.

  • Working closely with colleagues in Sales, Category Management, Quality and other teams to find the best solutions for customers.

  • Representing DO IT Organic during customer visits and trade fairs in Italy and abroad.

As you will be based in Italy and work remotely, this role offers a lot of freedom and responsibility. You should be comfortable working independently while actively staying connected with colleagues. Some days will be filled with customer conversations and travel, while others require you to focus on follow-ups, administration and developing your pipeline. As we are growing, not every process is set in stone yet, so you should be comfortable adapting, finding solutions and taking ownership when things change.

What will you bring?

You are commercially driven and entrepreneurial, with a natural ability to spot opportunities, find solutions and grow both new and existing business. You also bring:

  • Around 5-10 years of experience in B2B sales or account management, combined with experience in or a good understanding of the food industry.

  • Full-time availability of 40 hours per week.

  • Fluency in Italian and English.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and trade fairs, as well as to our headquarters in the Netherlands.

  • A genuine interest in sustainability and organic food.

Who are we?

For over 35 years, DO IT Organic has been building a fully organic food chain together with more than 30,000 farmers and 180 suppliers worldwide. Our portfolio includes over 1,000 organic products, ranging from food ingredients to private label solutions and our own brands, La Bio Idea and Amaizin.

We partner with customers who value quality, sustainability and transparency. As a certified B Corp, we are committed to driving positive change and were recently honoured with the prestigious King Willem I Award for Sustainable Entrepreneurship.

With strong growth and ambitious plans ahead, we are looking for people who want to help shape our future, adapt with us, and make a real impact.

What do we offer?

You will work closely with your colleague in Italy and stay connected with colleagues across different countries, including at our headquarters in the Netherlands. This gives you both the independence to develop your market and the support of a wider international team.

Your employment conditions, including holiday entitlement and pension arrangements, will be aligned with the applicable local requirements in Italy. During the recruitment process, we will explain what this means for your situation.
