BidMachine Exchange – a fast-growing global programmatic exchange built for the future of in-app advertising.
BidMachine operates with a strong US foundation and an international presence, with teams across Warsaw, Barcelona, Parkland (FL), and remote experts around the world.
We combine deep AdTech expertise, proprietary technology, and a data-driven mindset to deliver transparency, performance, and efficiency in the mobile advertising ecosystem.
Why BidMachine?
At BidMachine, we are building more than an exchange — we are shaping the infrastructure that powers fair, efficient, and scalable in-app programmatic advertising.
Our mission is to create a high-performance marketplace where publishers maximize value and advertisers access premium inventory with full transparency and control.
We are proud of our technology, our ambitious vision, and our globally distributed team of talented professionals who continuously raise the bar in AdTech.
Here’s what we value, and what we hope you do too:
Seek the Truth and Say It with Care
We find the truth together, and nobody owns it, the CEO included. Stories, perspectives and beliefs can be personal. Facts can’t.
Leverage Data to Build Product
Our decisions start from data. We build systems rather than one-off tasks, use AI agents in our daily work and automate whatever is manual. When numbers don’t match, we fix them.
We Work Together to Serve Others
No closed doors between teams. We share what we learn and win as one company first.
Insist on Higher Standards
We don’t settle for “good enough”. We question it and push for better.
Passionate Curiosity Fuels Perseverance
We ask “why”, take on ambiguous problems and keep going when they get hard.
Lean Startup Mentality: Start Small, Iterate Quickly
Think big, ship an MVP first and learn fast. No big-bang releases.
Ownership and Accountability
We work in small squads so each team owns its result end to end and has the freedom to get there. Go deep in your craft and wide enough to own the whole outcome. Escalate blockers early, admit mistakes, fix the damage and learn.
BidMachine is looking for an Account Manager to join our Mediation team and keep the publishers already running on our mediation platform.
You'll own a book of live publisher accounts. You'll review the top accounts every week, reach out as soon as an account starts to drop, and run the recovery conversation yourself, with the account's own data. You'll write a root-cause review for every account we lose, run quarterly reviews with your top clients, and take over new publishers from the teams that sign them.
You'll partner with the SDK and engineering team, monetization operations, support and finance to get your clients' issues fixed, and with the onboarding teams so every handover is complete.
We measure success by how many users and accounts your book keeps, not by activity. Spotting a drop is already automated and the weekly account review is moving to AI agents, so your time goes on the client conversations that need judgement.
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Responsibilities:
1. Keep the live book's users
-
Own the retention of the existing publisher book, measured in daily active users at every month-end.
-
Notice a slipping account before it shows in the month-end number, and act on it.
2. Run the top accounts
-
Review the largest accounts every week on revenue, users, SDK version, test status and open tickets, and prepare a written recovery plan for every declining one.
-
Contact top accounts personally at each key SDK release with the reasons to update, and track what it did to their revenue.
-
Run quarterly business reviews with the top accounts, each with a quantified ask.
3. Act on alerts and win back dropping accounts
-
Contact the client within one working day when a revenue alert fires on a significant account, and find out whether the cause is on the client's side or ours before reassuring anyone.
-
Propose the setup changes and tests that would help, and follow them through with the operations team.
4. Take over and keep accounts from other teams
-
Accept new accounts from the onboarding teams only with a complete written handover.
-
Hold them through their first 90 days.
6. Write the account-management standard
-
Keep the playbook for reviews, recovery plans, root-cause reviews and handovers current from real cases.
-
Run the team's experiment on proactive outreach and write up what it shows.
Requirements:
-
At least 3 years in mobile ad tech on the publisher or monetization side, at a mediation platform, SSP or ad network, working with app publishers rather than advertisers.
-
Hands-on mediation experience: has personally set up and tuned in-app bidding, waterfalls and price floors, and can explain why an account's revenue moved using ARPDAU, eCPM, fill rate and fee per DAU.
-
A client-facing track record with direct revenue or retention responsibility: named accounts you managed, what they earned when you took them over and what they earned later, and at least one account you kept when it was dropping.
-
Hands-on AI and data analysis. Uses AI tools to work through account data, such as finding at-risk accounts in a revenue and user export, and can show what it delivered and how the output was checked.
-
Fluent Russian, enough to run conversations with the clients.
Nice to Have
- SQL or a BI tool.
-
Hands-on experience with one or more of the major in-app mediation platforms, or with Appodeal or BidMachine products.
With a powerful product, strong market positioning, and a team that strives for excellence, BidMachine offers a unique opportunity to grow, innovate, and make a tangible impact in the programmatic advertising space.
