  • Collaborating with partners to develop joint sales opportunities, support customer engagement and drive deals through to successful closure.
  • Developing and executing new business strategies to target prospective customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Building relationships with key decision-makers, including IT Directors, Heads of IT and senior technology stakeholders.
  • Identifying customer requirements and conducting discovery meetings to understand their backup, disaster recovery and data protection needs.
  • Presenting and demonstrating backup and data protection solutions, clearly communicating their benefits and commercial value.
  • Developing tailored proposals, quotations and business cases to meet prospective customers' requirements.
  • Managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Consistently achieving and exceeding new business sales targets.
  • Maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified direct and partner-led opportunities and accurately forecasting new business revenue.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, competitor offerings and emerging technologies to identify new sales opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a new business sales or business development role.
  • Experience working for a VAR (Value Added Reseller) or MSP (Managed Service Provider).
  • Demonstrable track record of personally winning and closing high-value deals of £1 million+ in contract value.
  • Experience managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
  • Experience working with channel partners, resellers or a wider partner ecosystem to generate and close opportunities.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, relationship-building, negotiation and closing skills.
  • A commercially driven, self-motivated and results-oriented approach.
