Thread Recruitment is partnering with Straightcurve Australia to find its next Account Manager for Victoria and Tasmania. Straightcurve is a design-led, values-driven landscape products business with a growing footprint across Australia and overseas.

You’ll own the wholesale stockist network across Victoria and Tasmania, inheriting established accounts and using your people skills and commercial instincts to grow from there. It’s long-term account ownership with selective growth, not high-pressure, commission-led sales.

You remember what matters. You follow through. Customers know they can count on you. Sound like you? Keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be Straightcurve’s ambassador across Victoria and Tasmania, owning the relationships, the strategy and the growth, with a national sales, operations and marketing team in your corner.

What that looks like:

  • Looking after wholesale stockists across Victoria and Tasmania, with regular touchpoints that keep them close

  • Supporting stockist teams with product training and the materials they need to sell Straightcurve confidently

  • Growing stock lines within existing accounts and keeping stockists supplied, with support from Operations

  • Finding new opportunities to grow the Victorian network and winning over new stockists

  • Helping shape the right long-term approach for Tasmania

  • Using sales data to spot trends early and feeding local insight into national strategy

  • Representing Straightcurve at industry events

You’ll run your own week of calls, visits, training and planning. Some days you’re at your desk, others you’re on the road across Victoria. You’ll also plan two to three trips to Tasmania a year, around five days each, with occasional interstate or overseas travel in the mix.

Who You Are

You’re driven by building meaningful relationships. Customers remember you because you remember them. You listen first, ask the right questions and go out of your way to find the right solution, not just the easy one.

You’re curious about the world, and it shows in how you solve problems. You back your own judgement, own your mistakes, and would rather say “I don’t know, but I’ll find out” than bluff.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • A proven ability to build relationships and keep them strong over time

  • A knack for influencing decisions and making a confident case for value

  • A team-first mindset, where a team win beats a personal one

  • A consistent approach customers can count on

  • The discipline to run your own week and follow through

  • Confidence training or presenting to others

  • Comfort working from home and on the road across Victoria and Tasmania

  • A current driver’s licence, a reliable vehicle and permanent Australian work rights

Why Join Straightcurve

You’ll be joining a company that genuinely lives its values. This is a team committed to craft, sustainability and meaningful work, and always looking for a better way to do things. Straightcurve is full of people who show up with heart, leave ego behind, and want to build something that lasts.

You can expect:

  • High ownership and autonomy

  • A steady salary plus super

  • Car allowance

  • Structured training and support to ensure you’re set up for success

  • A values-led national team that has your back

  • Encouragement for both professional and personal development

  • A seat at the table to help shape how Straightcurve grows in Victoria and beyond
