This is a full-time remote position. We strongly prefer candidates in or near Orlando, Florida, who can attend occasional in-person customer and team meetings.
Account Support Representative (ASR) - K-12/Public Sector Inside Sales & Quoting
About the role
As an Account Support Representative (ASR), you’ll be the quoting, ordering and pricing expert behind a senior Field Account Manager who supports one of Florida’s largest K-12 school districts. You’ll build multi-manufacturer device configurations and bundled quotes, keep contract pricing accurate, run the order process from quote to delivery, and serve as the customer’s day-to-day point of contact.
This is a sales support role, not a quota-carrying sales role. It’s a good fit if you enjoy accuracy, speed and owning the details that win and keep large accounts.
What you’ll do
Quoting, configuration and pricing
- Build accurate hardware configurations and bundled customer quotes across Dell, HP, Lenovo and Chromebook platforms, following best-practice configuration standards.
- Apply contract pricing so quotes comply with government and K-12 purchasing vehicles, such as state term contracts, NASPO and cooperative agreements.
- Identify applicable rebates and promotions to maximize gross profit (GP) on customer standards and transactional business.
- Create and maintain product bundles and customer pricing in our quoting tools, UDT eStore and UDT Hub.
Ordering and fulfillment
- Enter orders accurately in our internal systems and track them through delivery.
- Proactively tell customers about order status, backorders, delays and pricing changes before they have to ask.
- Handle initial return merchandise authorization (RMA) requests in ConnectWise.
Customer support and responsiveness
- Serve as the customer’s primary day-to-day contact for quotes, order status and product or pricing questions.
- Manage the shared quote and support queue so no request is missed. Acknowledge requests the same business day and meet established turnaround standards.
- Resolve issues at first contact when possible, and escalate to the Field Account Manager, RFP Team or vendor when needed.
- Track quote turnaround and response-time metrics.
- Act as second-in-command on the account when the Field Account Manager is traveling or out of the office.
Digital tools
- Help customers register for, navigate and order through UDT eStore and UDT Hub.
Growth
- Build product knowledge through manufacturer training and partner accreditations.
What you bring
Required
- 2+ years of experience quoting or ordering computer hardware at an IT reseller, distributor or manufacturer.
- Experience building multi-line configurations or quotes, with strong attention to pricing accuracy.
- Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent requests with urgency and follow-through.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Preferred
- Experience supporting K-12, higher education or state and local government accounts.
- Familiarity with cooperative and state contract pricing (NASPO, state term contracts, K-12 co-ops) or E-Rate.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, ConnectWise or similar CRM, quoting or ticketing tools.
- Experience maintaining customer pricing catalogs or online storefronts.
- College degree
