Accountant - FIRST Sofia Workster is partnering with a leading international organisation to find a talented Accountant for their growing operations in Sofia. Key Responsibilities – Accountant Role in Sofia Prepare, review, and process invoices, payments, and expense records in line with company policies Maintain accurate bookkeeping and ensure all financial data is up to date Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries Collaborate with international teams to support consolidated reporting and group accounting Ensure compliance with Bulgarian statutory requirements and internal controls Support the preparation of VAT, tax, and statutory filings Contribute to internal and external audit processes as required Essential Skills and Qualifications for Accounting Professionals University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance – ideally with a background in an international environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Bulgarian is an advantage Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel); experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus Well-organised and able to prioritise deadlines Committed to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality What We Offer – Finance and Accountant Careers in Sofia Competitive salary and benefits package Supportive and collaborative team culture Opportunities for training and continuous professional development Modern office in central Sofia with hybrid work options Clear pathways for career progression within an international company Inclusive environment that welcomes diverse perspectives Who Should Apply?
