About the role
Launch your accounting career with an opportunity unlike any other at COUNTRY Financial. As a member of the new Controllers Rotational Program, you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple accounting and finance disciplines while building a deep understanding of how a leading insurance organization operates. Over a structured two-year journey, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful business initiatives, and develop expertise in financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and insurance finance. If you're curious, analytical, eager to learn, and excited by the idea of exploring multiple career paths while making an immediate impact, this role was designed for you.This role can expect to perform general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements in compliance with defined controls, standards, and regulations. You can also expect to compile and analyze financial information, and contribute to meaningful process improvements.
How does this role make an impact?
Actual work may vary based on business need to include any/all of the following:
- Prepares, analyzes, and reconciles financial transactions, account balances, and supporting schedules in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Analyzes financial data and accounting records to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Identifies, implements, and maintains effective internal controls and supports compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Contributes to special projects, system implementations, process improvement initiatives, and other departmental priorities.
- Prepares and delivers presentations and project updates to management and stakeholders.
- Maintains confidentiality of financial information and exercises sound professional judgment in performing assigned responsibilities.

- Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
Base Pay Range:
$54,800-$75,350The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.
Incentive Pay:
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
