We are a workforce technology company based in Hayden, Idaho, specializing in timekeeping, scheduling, mobile, and related workforce-management solutions tailored to industries like healthcare, agriculture, gaming, and education. As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a hands-on accounting professional to support our current day-to-day accounting needs and help build the foundation for our future accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and general accounting activities.
• Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare customer invoices and maintain accurate billing records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals, as appropriate.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Maintain organized supporting documentation and accounting records.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and reconciliations as needed.
• Prepare recurring financial reports for company leadership.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
• Coordinate accounting information and documentation needed by outside tax or accounting partners.
• Help document, improve, and standardize accounting processes as the company grows.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency, controls, and reporting.
• Take on additional accounting ownership over time based on experience, business need, and company growth.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping, accounting, or general ledger experience.
• Experience with Sage accounting software strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with account and bank reconciliations.
• Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Payroll experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with limited supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to research within a growing, smaller-company environment where responsibilities may evolve.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience owning or supporting month-end close.
• Journal-entry and general-ledger experience.
• Financial statement preparation or reporting experience.
• Experience improving accounting processes or developing procedures.
• Experience supporting a growing privately held or small-to-midsized business.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Work Environment

Most employees work remotely, including some California-based employees, but our home office is in Hayden. The position is part-time, approximately 1624 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are structured. Employees have access to CPA support. We emphasize a supportive and collaborative work environment where team members can grow with the company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
