Accounting Analyst

Company Description Book Value Consulting LLC is a nearshore accounting partner that provides bookkeeping, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and fractional CFO support for U.S. companies. The firm helps founders and leadership teams build reliable financial operations without the cost of a full in-house finance department.

Role Description The Accounting Analyst is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting and finance activities for client companies. This role includes preparing and analyzing financial statements, posting and reviewing journal entries, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. The Accounting Analyst will help maintain US GAAP-compliant records, contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts, and provide data and analysis for cash flow, margins, and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance, including knowledge of core accounting principles and US GAAP.
• Handle recurring bookkeeping: invoicing, collections, bill payments (per approval flow) and payroll processing
• Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements with attention to accuracy and consistency.
• Proficiency in recording and reconciling Journal Entries (Accounting) and supporting month-end close activities.
• Review and clean up historical QuickBooks records: missing or duplicate transactions, misclassifications and unsupported balances
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts; investigate and document differences
• Reconcile revenue, payments and sales channels, including Shopify and Amazon when applicable
• Review balance sheet accounts: AR, AP, inventory, payroll liabilities, accruals, prepaids and loans
• Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting budgeting and forecasting.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage deadlines, and prioritize multiple client tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused mindset.
• Experience with U.S. businesses, nearshore or outsourced finance environments, or fractional CFO support is a plus.
• Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. ART (UTC−3), following the U.S. holiday calendar.
• Monthly compensation: USD 1000–1,400, depending on experience and skills.
