We are a fast-growing company operating in the logistics, transportation, and equipment management sector, providing integrated solutions to clients across Greece and international markets.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our Finance Department and support our accounting, tax compliance, and month-end closing activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Process and review supplier invoices and expense documents.
- Perform reconciliations between ERP, General Ledger, and my DATA.
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and open balances.
- Support month-end closing procedures.
- Prepare and reconcile VAT returns.
- Prepare and submit VIES declarations.
- Assist with withholding taxes and other tax compliance obligations.
- Support inventory reconciliations and cost accounting procedures.
- Participate in process improvement and accounting automation projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting department or accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of my DATA.
- Proven experience in account reconciliations.
- Proven experience in VAT calculations and VAT reconciliations.
- Experience in preparing and submitting VIES declarations.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
