Accounting & Finance Assistant (Part-time)

Kuss Studio is growing fast, and we're looking for someone to take over the day-to-day money side: paying invoices, keeping our books clean and being the link to our accountant.

About us

Kuss Studio is a creative production studio in Lisbon. We run Hungry4, our own events brand and record label, and produce events and brand experiences for big international brands. We're a small team, so your work is visible straight away.

What you'll do

• Run our accounting mailbox: check every invoice (NIF, IVA, amount, bank details) and file it
• Set up approved payments in our bank, then send proof of payment to whoever asked for it
• Record payments in our accounting software, matched to supplier, invoice and project (a Hungry4 event, a release or a brand production), and reconcile the bank
• Be the main contact for our external accountant on documents, IVA and payments
• Chase missing invoices, wrong IBANs and recibos until every file is complete

As Kuss Studio grows, so does the role: there's room to move into P&Ls, project budgets and profitability analysis, if that interests you.

What we're looking for

• 2+ years in bookkeeping, accounts payable or supplier payments in Portugal
• You know what makes a Portuguese fatura or recibo verde valid, and how IVA works on them
• Fluent in Portuguese and English
• Good Excel skills
• Nice to have: experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, and experience in events, music, hospitality or production

No accounting degree or Contabilista Certificado needed: our external accountant handles the statutory side.

The details

Part-time, about 15 to 20 hours a week, flexible schedule. Hybrid or fully remote. Freelance (recibos verdes) or part-time contract, whichever suits you. Start as soon as possible. You'll work closely with our team and the founders.
