This is a paid internship offering hands-on experience in accounting, tax preparation, and financial reporting. The position is remote and flexible, providing opportunities to develop critical skills in accounting through practical, on-the-job training. Must be located in Virginia and enrolled and/or recently graduated from a Virginia school Responsibilities: •Bookkeeping for business clients using QuickBooks and other accounting software. •Conduct bank reconciliations and record journal entries. •Reconcile general ledger accounts. •Prepare financial statements, management reports, and tax returns (individual, business,fiduciary). •Use data analysis to provide insights and recommendations. •Assist with tax research and preparation of related documents. •Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and respond to inquiries. •Complete special projects as needed. Qualifications: •Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited program with a major inAccounting or Finance (Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s level). •Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. •Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). •Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. •Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
