Accounting Manager (Open to all LATAM Countries - Remote)

About the Role
H!KINEX is seeking a highly organized and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for our U.S.-based business. This role is ideal for someone who can move beyond transactional accounting and take ownership of financial accuracy, reporting, process improvement, and team coordination.
You will manage core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting while serving as a key partner to leadership and external accountants.
This is a fully remote role for a detail-driven accounting professional who is comfortable working independently, improving systems, and ensuring that financial operations run smoothly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations Management
- Oversee daily accounting activities including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner in QuickBooks.
- Maintain the integrity and organization of financial records and supporting documentation.
Billing & Revenue Management
- Review and approve customer invoices before distribution.
- Monitor collections and aging reports; develop and execute follow-up strategies for overdue accounts.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve cash flow.
Month-End Close & Reconciliations
- Lead the monthly close process and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, and unreconciled items.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
- Provide accurate financial data and insights to management for decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
Compliance & External Coordination
- Coordinate with external accountants, bookkeepers, auditors, and tax professionals as needed.
- Ensure accounting practices comply with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support periodic financial reviews.
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, controls, and reporting processes.
- Help establish and document accounting procedures and best practices.
- Provide guidance and oversight to accounting support staff or contractors when applicable.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–4+ years of accounting experience, with ownership of full-cycle accounting or accounting operations.
- Previous experience in an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivots, formulas, reconciliations, reporting).
- Experience supporting U.S.-based companies is a strong advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working 100% remotely with minimal supervision and a high level of accountability.
Nice to Have
- Experience in staffing, recruiting, professional services, or multi-entity environments.
- Knowledge of cash flow management and financial forecasting.
- Familiarity with process automation and accounting workflow tools.
