Accounting Manager Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a growing manufacturing facility in search of a highly agile, curious, and technically sound Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will oversee core general ledger activities and provide comprehensive financial leadership across the facility. This dynamic role is ideal for a professional who thrives in environments undergoing positive transformation, including ERP system optimization and financial integration of new business acquisitions. The ideal Accounting Manager possesses 7 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, a deep understanding of US GAAP, and a proven track record of successfully leading financial period-end close processes while mentoring and developing staff. The Accounting Manager is a full-time, direct hire position.

Accounting Manager Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Monthly, Quarterly, & Annual Financial Close Processes Ensuring Accurate & Timely Reporting in Accordance with US GAAP

• Oversee General Ledger Activities, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, & Financial Statement Preparation

• Support Manufacturing Accounting Functions Including Inventory Valuation, Cost Accounting, & Variance Analysis

• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Customer Invoicing, Supplier Payments, & Collections

• Support & Optimize Epicor Kinetic ERP System Processes Through Workflow Automation & System Enhancements

• Lead Financial & Systems Integration Efforts for Newly Acquired Business Entities

• Supervise, Mentor, & Develop Accounting Staff Members as the Department Expands

• Identify & Implement Process Improvements to Increase Operational Efficiency, Accuracy, & Internal Controls

• Provide Technical Accounting Guidance & Training to Cross-Functional Operational Teams

• Perform Other Financial & Accounting Duties as Assigned

Accounting Manager Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field Required

• 7–10+ Years of Progressive Accounting Experience with Period-End Close Leadership Required

• Deep Knowledge of US GAAP, Financial Reporting Standards, & General Ledger Operations

• Experience Operating Within Core ERP Systems (Epicor Kinetic or Similar Manufacturing ERP Preferred)

• Background in Manufacturing Accounting with Inventory & Cost Accounting Experience Preferred

• Experience with Multi-Entity Organizations, System Integrations, or Acquisition Environments a Plus

• Previous Experience Supervising, Mentoring, or Training Accounting Personnel Preferred

• Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving, & Process Optimization Capabilities

• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills to Collaborate Across All Organizational Levels

• Ability to Adapt to Positive Organizational Change & Manage Multiple Concurrent Priorities
