The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with analytical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to improve financial processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense recording.
  • Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting documentation.

  • Ensure accounting records comply with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, and other professional service providers when required.
  • Analyze financial variances and identify discrepancies, unusual transactions, or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by providing accurate accounting data and analysis.
  • Maintain organized financial records and ensure supporting documents are complete and accessible.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Operations teams to resolve accounting issues and improve cross-functional processes.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems, reporting workflows, and financial controls.
  • Provide guidance to accounting team members or relevant colleagues on accounting procedures and documentation standards.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, general ledger management, or a related field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
  • Familiarity with applicable accounting standards, tax compliance, and internal control practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively in a remote environment.
  • Professional certifications are not required; relevant accounting qualifications are an advantage.
What We Offer
  • Flexible part-time work with a fully remote arrangement.
  • Opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and contribute to reliable financial reporting.
  • A collaborative environment that values accuracy, accountability, and professional development.
  • Exposure to financial analysis, internal controls, and accounting process improvement.
