We're Hiring: Accounts Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our team in delivering reliable and efficient financial and administrative services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day finance operations, maintain accurate financial records, communicate with clients and suppliers, and manage multiple priorities in a remote working environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company financial records.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice and payment processing.
- Issue invoices to clients and suppliers and follow up on outstanding payments as needed.
- Perform bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
- Liaise professionally with clients, including following up with late-paying clients.
- Communicate and coordinate with suppliers regarding financial and administrative matters.
- Support the team with a range of day-to-day financial and administrative tasks.
- Manage multiple client accounts while ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and attention to detail.
- Assist with maintaining efficient financial processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounts, bookkeeping, finance, or similar administrative role.
- Experience using Xero accounting software.
- Experience with QuickBooks is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use VLOOKUP and SUMIFS functions.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and priorities effectively.
- Strong willingness to learn, develop, and expand financial and administrative knowledge.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality when handling financial information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with UK-based clients.
- Previous experience working in a remote or virtual team environment.
- Experience with accounting and bookkeeping processes for UK businesses.
- Familiarity with financial administration and client-facing responsibilities.
Work Setup:
- 100% Remote
- Full-time role
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM UK Time, with a 1-hour lunch break
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM UK Time
Salary:
- USD 6 per hour
