Description
HOH Water Technology is a third-generation, family-owned water treatment company proudly celebrating over 58 years in business. Our success has always been about more than water treatment; it’s about investing in people and creating lasting impacts for our clients, coworkers, and community. We believe our people are our greatest competitive advantage, and we have built a culture centered around our Core Values of Accountability, Creativity, Teamwork, and Service. Join our team and become part of a growing, privately held Certified Evergreen company.
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who will play a crucial role in managing the entry and processing of all incoming vendor invoices, ensuring smooth financial operations, and supporting other team members as needed. This is a hybrid role, working out of our Palatine office.
About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will manage vendor invoices and maintain our financial records with high accuracy. You will work alongside a dedicated Finance and Administration team and contribute to our commitment to service, reliability, and efficiency in our financial operations.
What We Offer
- Competitive Compensation: $23-28 per hour based on experience. Company Profit Sharing Bonus eligibility starting in 2027 with typical targets equivalent to 3–4 weeks of annual salary.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical and Dental Insurance with generous employer contributions, HSA contributions ($1200 family/$800 Individual annually), 401(k) plan with a company match of 40% of your contributions on up to 8% of your salary (maximum employer match: 3.2% of your salary), and more.
- Generous Time Off: 15 PTO Days/16 Paid Holidays (including extended holiday pay at the end of the year).
- Engaging Culture: Caring leaders who invest in people and create meaningful opportunities for growth and connection.
- Career Growth: Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
You'll Love This Role If...
• You have a high level of attention to detail. Accuracy matters to you more than speed. You catch the small errors, double-check the details, and take pride in clean records.
• You're organized and manage your time well. You manage a steady flow of invoices, deadlines, and weekly pay runs with ease, and you keep your inbox and queues under control.
• You're a natural problem solver. You enjoy digging into discrepancies and working them through to resolution rather than passing them along.
• You're a strong collaborator. You work well with different teams and personalities, and you communicate clearly with vendors and coworkers alike.
• You enjoy variety and cross-training. You like learning new areas of the business and are happy to step in across the Finance and Admin department when the team needs support.
