Are you organised, detail-oriented and passionate about getting the numbers right? We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team at our STRAND Head Office in Pyrmont.

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced retail business where you'll play a key role in managing supplier relationships, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring our Accounts Payable processes run smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

Reporting into our Finance team, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, managing everything from invoice processing and supplier payments to reconciliations and month-end activities.

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring payments are processed accurately and on time while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage end-to-end invoice processing through Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and ExFlow, ensuring accurate coding, purchase order matching and appropriate approvals.
• Prepare and process weekly and monthly supplier payment runs, including distributing remittance advices.
• Maintain supplier accounts, including new supplier setups and verification of supplier banking details.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to internal and external queries relating to invoices, payments and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end activities, including accrual journals and bank reconciliations.
• Support monthly company credit card reconciliations through Expense Me Pro, following up on outstanding transactions and approvals.
• Assist with international supplier payments, foreign currency transactions and audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve Accounts Payable processes, accuracy and financial controls.
• Provide general support to the wider Finance team as required.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role, ideally within retail.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, payment runs and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• A willingness to learn new systems, take on challenges and contribute to continuous improvement.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, ExFlow and Expense Me Pro will be highly regarded.
