ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AR Specialist/Collections Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring customer accounts, following up on outstanding invoices and working with various retailer portals to research payment status, deductions and disputes. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE:

Reviewing aging reports and prioritizing high-dollar and past-due accounts for follow up.
Proactively reviewing retailer portals to verify payment status, deductions and root cause for non-payment.
Communicating with customers via email, phone or mail to follow up on overdue invoices and confirm payment timelines.
Address delayed payments by identifying issues such as missing invoices, deductions or disputes and take immediate action.
Research short payments in retailer portals to support conversations and push for resolution.
Partner with internal teams to resolve disputes that are preventing payment.
Submit or escalate disputes when non-payment occurs.
Monitor and follow up on missed payment commitments and previous claims submitted with customers until resolution is reached.
Maintain accurate notes and invoice status in ERP system to provide visibility to clients regarding order status.
Help management in providing at risk updates on customer accounts on a quarterly basis.
Assist with preparing and presenting information on AR aging for monthly team meetings.

ABOUT YOU

Accounting Experience: Previous experience in accounts receivable or finance roles is preferred.
ERP Proficiency: Experience using an ERP system is essential for this role.
Tech-savvy: Comfortable using various accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
