Trust Payments has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Analyst to join their team.


Location: Hybrid - Port City, Colombo, Sri Lanka
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Working Hours Malta working hours (1.00 PM IST - 9.30 PM IST)
**Due to business requirements, employees may occasionally be asked to work on Malta bank holidays when team coverage is needed. Equivalent time off will be provided on an alternative date.

How will you make an impact in this role?
The Role:
To work within the accounts receivable function with a focus on complex account management, while helping guide and develop junior AR staff and ensuring optimal cash flow for Trust Payments.

What We Expect of You, Day To Day:
Complex Account Management
  • Handle escalated customer queries and disputes
  • Resolve discrepancies and reconciliation issues
  • Investigate and clear problematic accounts
  • Liaise with Sales and Customer Service on account matters
Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare AR reports and aged debt analysis
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
Knowledge Sharing & Team Development
  • Act as first point of contact for AR queries
  • Provide guidance on processes and best practices
  • Review complex transactions processed by team members
  • Share knowledge and help develop team members' skills
Processing Tasks
  • Oversee invoice generation and payment allocation processes
  • Process complex invoices, credit notes, and adjustments
  • Provide cover for the team during absences or peak periods
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all AR transactions and reconciliations
Account Administration & Credit Control
  • Set up new customer accounts from the CRM, issuing Set Up Fee/Annual Fee invoices as required
  • Maintain existing customer accounts, including CRM updates and closing accounts where necessary
  • Manage all aspects of Direct Debit collection, allocation, and administration, investigating variances or anomalies
  • Encourage customers to move to Direct Debit as a collection method
  • Manage customer-initiated credit card payment requests
  • Manage credit control activities, escalating overdue debt to a debt collection agency where necessary

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounts receivable
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and AR best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage own workload and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to help train and develop less experienced colleagues
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar accounting software
  • Knowledge of Zendesk for customer query management
Desirable
  • Experience in the fintech or payments industry
  • Advanced Excel skills
