THE PURPOSE: This role manages the end-to-end accounts receivable process for True Religion’s Major Department Store, specialty, and international accounts, ensuring revenue is accurately invoiced, collected, and protected against unwarranted deductions. The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining healthy cash flow and minimizing financial exposure by researching and resolving chargeback claims, driving timely collections, and identifying the root causes of operationally triggered deductions. By partnering closely with Customer Service, Sales, Shipping, and IT, this role helps translate wholesale routing and shipping requirements into practices that prevent future chargebacks. The ideal candidate brings the credibility and consistency needed to maintain strong customer and cross-functional relationships while protecting True Religion’s bottom line.

THE ROLE (what you are accountable for):

Own collections for an assigned portfolio of Major Department Store, specialty, and international accounts, ensuring invoices are paid within terms.
Create and issue invoices, credit memos, and debit memos accurately and on schedule to support clean, auditable revenue records.
Investigate chargeback claims for validity, gathering documentation to dispute unjustified deductions and recover revenue on the company's behalf.
Manage vendor and customer portals, and communicate directly with accounts by phone and email, to confirm invoices post correctly to trial balances and drive prompt payment.
Interpret wholesale customer routing guides and shipping instructions to identify chargeback risk before it occurs, relaying findings to Shipping, Sales, and Customer Service to prevent recurrence.
Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Sales, Shipping, and IT to troubleshoot and resolve operationally triggered chargebacks.
Build and maintain a weekly aging report in Excel, tracking outstanding balances and disputes for the assigned account portfolio.
Communicate the status of outstanding accounts and escalations to management, flagging risk to cash flow proactively.

YOU ARE: You bring hands-on accounts receivable experience within a wholesale environment and a sharp eye for financial detail. You move easily between internal teams and outside customers, building the kind of trust that gets invoices paid and disputes resolved without unnecessary back-and-forth. You take ownership of your accounts, stay organized under deadline pressure, and bring both rigor and resourcefulness to solving collections challenges.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections within a retail/wholesale environment, including work with Major Department Store accounts
Proven experience researching, disputing, and resolving chargebacks and deductions
Working knowledge of wholesale customer routing guides and shipping compliance requirements
Proficiency in Excel, including building and maintaining weekly aging reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage vendor portals and direct customer correspondence
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines across a multi-account portfolio

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience with Full Circle
Working knowledge of General Ledger processes
Experience with SCALE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $29-$30/hour. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This range represents the low and high ends of the expected base salary range for this role based on the applicable location. True Religion reasonably expects to pay within this range in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity.
