About the Role: We’re looking for an Actuarial Manager in Annuity Pricing who is responsible for pricing and profitability management for MYGA and FIA products. This role sits at the center of rate-setting strategy, product analytics, and model development, with direct impact on product competitiveness and financial performance. In this role, you’ll combine technical pricing expertise, market awareness, and strategic thinking to optimize product design and drive decision-making across product development, finance, and actuarial teams. What You’ll Do: Rate Setting & Profitability Management Manage weekly and monthly new money and renewal rate ‑ setting for MYGA and FIA products Analyze product profitability, economics, and market competitiveness to inform rate decisions Partner with stakeholders to align pricing actions with broader business and distribution strategies Pricing Models & Assumption Development Maintain and enhance pricing assumptions, methodologies, and underlying analytics Develop and refine models supporting profitability analysis and new product development Ensure assumptions reflect emerging experience, market conditions, and strategic objectives Modeling Infrastructure & Data Management Build and maintain a centralized rate ‑ setting database and corporate pricing model Partner with corporate actuarial teams to ensure alignment with enterprise pricing frameworks Improve data integrity, transparency, and governance across pricing processes Product Development & Strategic Initiatives Support new product development and implementation across annuity offerings Contribute to ongoing enhancements of existing products and profitability management practices Provide analytical insights to support corporate strategy, financial planning, and risk management Ad Hoc Analysis & Stakeholder Support Respond to recurring and ad hoc analytical requests from actuarial, finance, and leadership teams Translate complex analyses into clear insights to support decision ‑ making What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, or related field FSA or near ‑ FSA designation 5+ years of actuarial experience, with a focus on annuity pricing and/or market risk management Strong knowledge of MYGA and FIA products (including GLWB), and associated profitability and risk dynamics Understanding of accounting frameworks and investment strategies impacting annuity pricing Advanced Excel skills; experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or MG ‑ ALFA preferred Strong problem ‑ solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non ‑ technical stakeholders Core Competencies: Annuity Pricing & Product Expertise Deep understanding of MYGA/FIA pricing, product design, and profitability levers Analytical Modeling & Technical Rigor Strong modeling capabilities with experience developing and enhancing pricing tools and assumptions Strategic Pricing & Business Insight Ability to connect pricing decisions to market dynamics, distribution strategy, and financial outcomes Data & Process Optimization Drives improvements in pricing infrastructure, database management, and model governance Problem Solving in Ambiguous Environments Navigates complex, evolving challenges with structured thinking and sound judgment Stakeholder Communication & Influence Effectively communicates insights and partners across actuarial, finance, and business teams What We Offer: A collaborative, inclusive environment that values authenticity, accountability, and partnership The opportunity to join the company at an exciting stage of growth, where colleagues are empowered to build what’s next A variable compensation package with a base range of $140K–$150K A competitive benefits package including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; an HSA and 401(k) company match; paid time off; and employer-paid life and disability insurance This role is eligible for participation in the company’s Actuarial Development Program, which provides exam support towards Society of Actuaries designations.
