As a ADAS & Automated Vehicle Virtual Development engineer and member of the Electronics team at the Applus+ IDIADA Group, your mission will be to develop, maintain and operate virtual environments for ADAS systems. You will play a crucial role in the integration, verification, and validation of these systems through rigorous testing and simulation, ensuring its quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be (for the functions mentioned above):

• Design, develop, and maintain HIL test benches for ADAS systems
• Integrate hardware and software components to create an effective simulation environment
• Create and execute test plans and procedures for ADAS components and systems
• Perform system integration and functional tests on ADAS hardware and software
• Develop and manage test features and scenarios for HIL simulations
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports on system performance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HIL testing processes and tools
• Maintain documentation for HIL test benches, procedures, and results

Profile

• Proven experience in HIL testing, preferably in the automotive industry
• Experience in system integration, verification and validation
• Strong knowledge of ADAS systems and technologies
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to ADAS
• Experience with HIL simulation tools (preferably dSPACE & Vector)
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
• Knowledge of model-based design and testing methodologies
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

Education

• University degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields

Language Skills

• Fluent English & Spanish
• Other languages will be asset.
