Adjunct Lecturer, Applied Behavior Analysis Fully Remote • Regis College Campus - Weston, MA 02493 Apply Overview Position Type Adjunct Apply Description Summary The Applied Behavior Analysis Program within the School of Health Sciences at Regis College invites applications for an adjunct faculty pool to teach graduate-level courses in the online Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program. The program is accredited by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) and prepares students to become competent, ethical, and culturally responsive behavior analysts. Adjunct faculty members provide high-quality online instruction, engage students in the scientific and practical foundations of behavior analysis, and contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Course assignments are based on program needs and the instructor’s area of expertise. A passion for excellence with gentleness, a commitment to diversity, collaboration, innovation, and positive energy are fundamental to this position. Essential Functions Teach assigned graduate-level online courses in applied behavior analysis. Maintain subject-matter expertise and ensure that course instruction reflects current behavior-analytic research, ethical standards, and professional practices. Prepare for and facilitate engaging online instruction using the university’s approved course materials and learning-management system. Review course content and recommend updates as needed to maintain academic rigor, accuracy, and alignment with program objectives and accreditation requirements. Provide clear, timely, and meaningful feedback on assignments and assessments in accordance with university and program expectations. Maintain an active presence in the online classroom and respond to student questions and communications within established timeframes. Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently, maintain accurate course records, and submit grades by published deadlines. Hold and maintain required office hours or other opportunities for student consultation. Provide approved academic accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Identify and communicate concerns related to student progress, academic integrity, or professional conduct to the Program Director or other appropriate college personnel in a timely manner. Collaborate with the Program Director and other faculty to promote consistency across course sections and support student success. Participate in adjunct faculty orientation, program meetings, professional development, assessment activities, and accreditation-related activities as requested. Uphold the ethical and professional standards of behavior analysis and the mission, policies, and values of Regis College. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst–Doctoral (BCBA-D). Demonstrated education, training, and professional experience relevant to the course content being taught. Current knowledge of behavior-analytic research, professional ethics, and evidence-based practice. Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to engage and support a diverse population of graduate students in an online learning environment. Ability to use or learn instructional technologies, including a learning-management system, videoconferencing software, university email, and standard office applications. Ability to uphold Regis College’s commitment to inclusive excellence and its mission of educating and serving the whole person. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching graduate-level behavior-analysis courses. Previous experience teaching in an online or accelerated course format. Professional expertise in one or more areas represented in the program curriculum. Experience working with students and clients from diverse cultural, linguistic, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds. Experience contributing to curriculum development, student assessment, or accreditation activities. Work Environment and Technical Requirements This position is performed remotely using Regis College’s online learning and communication platforms. The position requires: Regular and reliable access to a computer, high-speed internet connection, webcam, and microphone. Ability to communicate with students and program personnel through email, videoconferencing, telephone, and the learning-management system. Ability to spend extended periods working at a computer. Availability to meet established course schedules, grading deadlines, office-hour requirements, and faculty communication expectations. Authorization to work within the United States. Appointment Terms Adjunct faculty members are appointed on a part-time, course-by-course basis according to program enrollment, curricular needs, subject-matter expertise, and satisfactory performance. Inclusion in the adjunct faculty pool does not guarantee an appointment or a minimum number of courses. Course assignments may vary from semester to semester and may be changed or canceled based on enrollment or other program needs.
